Priyo and Gypsy Moon
Trance Latina

Deva Priyo has been playing music and traveling the world for over 20 years creating
a unique blend of Afro-Mediterranean Gypsy trance music. A guitar virtuoso and master of many instruments, Priyo founded Gypsy Moon in 1992 in Byron Bay, Australia. Gypsy Moon quickly became one of the most popular dance bands down under. Later on in 1996, Priyo founded Lost at Last (now renamed "One at Last") - a more electronic tribal-trance-dance band.

No stranger to Philzone, Priyo and Lost at Last were joined by Phil Lesh for a sit-in during their performance at the Countdown to 2012 memorial benefit show for Terence McKenna in San Francisco, 12/15 2000. Phil joined the band for psychedelic trance-dance versions of "Other One -> Dark Star -> Franklin's Tower". Later on 'Other One' became a set list main stay at Lost at Last's wild trance-idelic rave-style shows.

Priyo now returns to his Gypsy Moon roots and with this long awaited album Trance Latina. Although it will be out officially in Spring 2007 on Sounds True Records, you can download Trance Latina now at Priyoandgypsymoon.com.

These warm passionate songs, classical guitar work, and hypnotic global grooves are a pleasure to listen to and will surely make you feel good - like sipping Mojito's at an outdoor café in a sunny village or holding your women close for a romantic passionate sweaty dance at some futuristic Brazilian discothèque!

This vision of the futuristic discothèque stays consistent throughout Trance Latina, with songs like Mira and Palmonte - a get-out-of-your-chair, dance frenzy. Complete with driving exotic rhythms, hypnotic trance electronica and Latin classical guitar. Or songs like Ye Ye, Vorrei Vorrei, or Mundera - all upbeat, dreamy, inspired and romantic with sultry down tempo beats. The icing on the cake of course is Priyo's lush tones and masterful guitar work.
