I just want to "THANK YOU" personally. John Molo with your UNDENIABLE and unforgettable backbeat. Rob Barraco with your FANTASTIC! vocals and keys. Jimmy Herring with your "Big ass" contagious smile, and your ability to "Push" this band to Furthur heights, Warren Haynes "Your OUR hometown Hero!!" you have made our summer, and Phil Lesh for believing in a "Dream we dreamed one afternoon long ago" I will NEVER forget the way you made me feel!! Let's not forget Candace for the light show that was "over the top" this tour. THANK YOU ALL!!! See you in the Fall.
it indeed was a great tour, and i am so happy that i got to be a part of it all. the music will never stop if we have guys like these playing the way they did. they were so tight and played so well together that anyone, phan or not, would appreciate what they were doing up there. warren and jimmy are two very special musicians that compliment eachother perfectly. Rob is a beast on the keys, as is molo on drums. but none of it would have happened without Phil Lesh. Phil, you keep the spirit alive through the music you perform. The crowd feeds off your energy, and you in turn feed off of that. It is a cycle that will never stop. anyone that knows me knows that music is my religion, and i got to go to church a whole lot this summer. take care, phil, and we will see you soon.
Thanks so much for everything.
I thank the Zonians for flyin the flag and puting faces to the names.
It was a real treat to meet all of you
Look forward to meeting some more of you kind folks in the future ( my long winded tale is in the Jones beach review section )
be cool, always

Haven't seen you around here in a while- I was hoping to get the other two discs from that Roseland show that you sent me. Mind if I send some blanks over your way, or we could do a trade from my limited resources?
Here's hoping for fall tour and some NYC shows, and hopefully a zone gathering...

Thanks to the whole quintet for the epic show at the Zoo Amphitheater in Oklahoma City. The music was hotter than the weather!
I'm glad I took the next day off from work because I was sore after shaking it with Ratdog and P&F for five hours that night!
Hope you come back next summer.
Thank You Phil & Friends for a sweet show at Alpine! My baby saw her first show..
Thank You to everyone for the shows I have received! Since I can no longer tour as a career, I can enjoy these beautiful tunes in the comfort of my home w/ my family.. Thanks to all the "kind" people on this board for the inspiration. Love, Amy

no problem. send all the blanks you want. they must be DIGITAL audio recordable though. if you need my address, let me know.
I am also thankful for the kind words/thoughts directed at my wife and me during a pretty hairy time. My third child, Sara, came into the world on Fri 8/3/01. She was real early and will be in the hospital for awhile so keep sending those positive vibes our way. seriously
see ya
brick
First Brick good luck with your new arrival.
Thanks P&F for a great ride this year, yea I know there's more to come.
Special thanks to Warren for the Sweet Soulshine.
Also it's time for Jack A Roe.
phil - super thanks for rolling out my 'Marbles' @ Deercreek, and the beautiful, remember Jer - 'Birdsong'. words can never express the wounds you heal with some of the best musicians around! everyone of you guys (molo, herring, haynes, barraco), know that you are massively loved by a lot of people missing the warmth and touch Jer left.
> on a real serious note: Brick, sending super love vibes and more positive vibes your way and your daughter's way. Congratulations on Sara coming in this world and here's to KNOWING that she WILL respond to all of the Love coming her way and will be an active Earth Member in the years to come!
Thank you for the harmonic and cosmic voyage Phil and Friends, and for the healing and joy that you bring. Once in a while it dawns on me how fortunate we all are to have shared in this very special human experience at this point in time in our evolutionary journey. With what's going on around us on this planet, right next door, and with our invaluable freedom of expression and its fruit, I can't say anything except thank you unversal life force, and we will never forget Jerry Garcia's devotion and the consciousness we all created together. Music, GD, spirituality, trips...
I keep meaning to post this and forgetting. Did
anyone notice that at some point they
switched from headset monitors to the
traditional floor monitors? It seems to me that
overall that has to be a big change for the
band. Of course, that took away Phil's big red
button also.
Anyone know what was behind that?
Phil?
John?
Jimmy?
Rob?
Warren?
Any of you are welcome to email me to
explain, hehehehe ~~{ : < )
Thanks for a great time. The highlight for me
was Terrapin at Columbia, MD. It was not a
song, but an experience. And it was more than
the usual PLQ/GD/TOO experience... much
more. (to me at least)
Thank you brothers. Please keep it going.
Blessings!
Thanks Alan for the VIP at Holmdel, thanks Richard for the aisle lower at Camden and thanks Stu-baby for the very kind Atlanta ticket.
What a three-show bonus after Red Rocks!
Thanks to all the Kind people I met and danced with along the way...
A special thanks to the PLQ for some mighty fine times... and some awesome tunes!
Thank you (PLQ).....for a real good time

Great way to open, with a ramble on rose....the crowd was smiling and as we began to shuffle our feet the old familiar grace started to come back around...Celebration is a great tune...."Let a fresh wind tear through your soul Swallow your sorrow and deliver you whole Give you reason to believe again
But finish that prayer before you say Amen...." the stage had been set, the words have rang TRUE, now it was time to get on WITH the SHOW...lets show are new brothers and sisters how that needle was sowed.....the Casey Jones wound us up, fast and fury I 've never seen that train run so fast...Cumberland had us back on the porch having us a big old hoe-down..." Can I go, buddy, can I go down...take your shift at the mine"....I know I'll be back again....Lay of the Sunflower...had us taking a breath and remind us that this to is built to last..."I will not return in winter If I be not back by fall Seek me when this small sunflower Grows above the garden wall..."...the engine is good and hot...the energy is begging to peek..and if there was some dought left in your heart the huge bigger than life monstrous SHAKEDOWN was gonna let ya know...."Don't tell me this town ain't got no heart.....when I can HEAR it BEAT out loud"......the bus is running and Phil's at the WHEEL....and you cant slow it down..small wheel turn by the fire and rod..big wheel turn by the grace of God..and we where covering new ground....how much better can it get I ask..Phil answered with way don't we tell em how you met your love..cause sometimes IT does turn out the way it does in the song...and EVERYBODY was playing in the heart of GOLD band once again.......Emotions are high the lights are ON we know the SUN is shining in your back door...I know your gonna miss me too when I gone...as we close the show hugs all around the magic's back in the air and every where we go everyone's doing that RAG!.
What a great evening...It was soooo good to see all the Tri-dead that made...Phil brought us the music...but you guys bring the magic.......

Ten years ago as I walked into Charlotte coliseum I "got" puddle...maybe you had to much to fast.....yep I sure did not by choice but that's another tale....I do recall being somewhat green as this was my 3rd or so show and all I wanted to see was a MR. Fantasy...not realizing it was a Brent tune....as I look up and saw Phil come out in his RED shirt..I knew he was out to take care of business...after the JAM he seem to say I remember too D...I was there too...I am here now...."please don't be sad to take up the straight life you had...we wouldn't have know you all these years"....now that's that was under are belts it was time to pass the whiskey around take a good drink cause the "the bottle was dusty but the liquor was clean"..we ran down to our 5 row rob side seats and proceeded to plow the fields around....with our hearts out on a weeping willow Phil saw that the chain was out and reminded us that it is still unbroken...."they're telling me forgiveness is the KEY to every door".....the place was chopping at the bit..and warren eased us down into the blue river...1st with a She said "She said I know what it's like to be dead I know what it is to be sad And she's making me feel like I've never been born.......She said You don't understand what I said I said, no, no, no, you're wrong
When I was a boy Everything was right Everything was right........"and it was time to make it RIGHT Again....."In the end there's still that song Comes crying like the wind Down every lonely street That's ever been Stella Blue Stella Blue I've stayed in every blue light cheap hotel Can't win for trying Dust off those rusty strings just one more time Gonna make them shine......." and SHINE WE DID!!!!...Eric had mention earlier " Hey D when they go into St. Stephen lets go up on the lawn and smoke a joint"...I was like sure dude sure....well much to my Surprise the BAND had slipped him the SETLIST...cause here came Saint Stephen BIG AND TALL with ROSE and all.....so I follow my newly sealed deadhead buddy up to the lawn where we get good and settle in for the ride of our life's.........the Eleven had us headed towards the moon as it was out in FULL right over stage left as it was there in time for the show...."Eight track whispering hallelujah hatrack Seven faced marble eyed transitory dream doll Six proud walkers on the jingle bell rainbow Five men writing with fingers of gold Four men tracking down the great white sperm whale Three girls waiting in a foreign dominion Riding in the whalebelly Fade away in moonlight Sink beneath the waters to the coral sands below"...........back into Senor Stephen roiling and rocking with out missing a beat...."Fortune comes a-crawling, Calliope woman Spinning that curious sense of your own Can you answer? Yes I can But what would be the answer to the answer man?"........the answer my friends was a sweet Spanish jam that led into one of the most unbelievable Masterpieces ever painted on the lawn....the INSPIRATION Jams was really out of this world..."Oh, from the north-west corner Of a brand new crescent moon Where crickets and cicadas sing A rare and different tune Terrapin Station In the shadow of the moon Terrapin Station And I know we'll be there soon"...........soon indeed., It was like the boys had raised the main mast, riding on the cosmic waves I could almost pull back on the sail catching the solar flares feeling the blue ball skipping through space...after hurling through space with some extended jamming its time to head back home....Golden road led the way back...."Well, everybody's dancing in a ring around the sun Nobody's finished, we isn't even begun So take off your shoes, child
And take off your hat Try on your wings And find out where it's at"........
The encores never rang so true the patchwork quilt was my 1st bringing us hope in the face of drakens......."But there's a banjo moon in a tie-dyed sky Hippies dance and babies cry Churchbells ring as a silver-haired angel look down And the blood of his music runs through the veins of our guitars Bright lights, Dark Star..."....yes we are Grateful yes We are ALIVE!!!....Blue Sky was the way to ease us on out into the the Carolina nights...."Good old Sunday morning Bells are ringing everywhere Goin to Carolina It won't be long till I'll be there......." wont be long at ALL boys I got my WINGS on how about you....SEE YALL in The FALL....THANK YOU PHIL...WE love you more than words can ever tell.........
"THANK YOU PHIL...WE love you more than
words can ever tell......... "

Bobby is a good friend.
Words simply cannot express the gratitude I have for this band and community. My heart is full with the divine love of the essence of what the Dead have always been about. Phil and Co. are ushering this community into a new level of existence. This is truly a great time to be alive for me. This music wants to survive and grow, as well as this community. We all have a job to do here, we all make this music together. The band is just a conduit for the energy that we all create together. Every show is a communion with the gods and things just keep getting better. Let's continue to raise this frequency together. Terrapin is not so far away. I love you all!!!
"If my words could tell...", but they cannot express what the past 10 months have meant. While the Spring Tour of 2000 fueled our fire, the Fall of 2000, and the Winter and Spring of 2001 led us to the Summer Tour we all are trying to process.
On so many levels this band has proved that the music we all know and love needed to continue and grow and prosper, and Phil and his friends have found the way to let it happen. Every show, every new friend, every note just fills me with a new avenue to explore. It is so new, and yet such an old friend that we haven't seen for six years, or more...depending on when the Dead stopped doing it for you.
Thank you for giving us all a second chance to feel "it" again, and this time around we will savour each moment, as if it were the last, and value all of the new friends and experiences all the much more.
This was the best summer tour I have ever been on, not only for the music, and the friends, both new and old, but for the opportunity to share it with family who I rarely get to spend time with.
The music is on a different level, whether that be because we missed the Dead, and Jerry so much, or because we are older and wiser now, or just older and need it more...who knows, but each and every one of us is deriving something different from it, and collectively creating this unbelievable energy.
Thank you to the families willing to lend us their fathers and mothers, thus enabling them to provide these wonderful experiences and to the band for taking the time and energy to let us grow.
Personally, thank you for bringing me back, and giving me the tools to be kind and creative and inspired again. Your music is invaluable, and the paths it creates endless.
Hey all, this post is a litte late. I can't seem to find time to post with all these show going on this summer. I just want to say that I had the best time on Phil tour this year. I just missed meeting Warren at Hershey. Phil, thanks for the smile and the thumbs up before you went on stage at Hershey, you made our hearts soar! I have to say "IT" is with Phil. And you all know what the "IT" is. I haven't felt like this since the Dead. Let's keep the spirit alive kidz. The more we give P&F the more they'll give us. It's the best symbiotic relationship going. Can't wait til fall tour!!!Peace, Love & Light!
I really want to Thank everyone. It was such a great experience, beyond description
I wanted to thank you for selling me bunk X, a veggie burrito whose filling was prepared with beef stock bullion and that untagged rottweiler/dachsund mix that hadn't had its shots.
You rule Raver.
