Hey Y'all~
Did anybody hear/tape the KFOG show broadcast on the 20th? And, if so, how awesome is it?!?
(:
I have been in contact with a left coaster who DID in fact tape the show.
Do I really need to go into how it was?
I hope to have it by the strat of the coming week, I will of course tree it A.S.A.P.(It will be cut as it was last year but hey what the hell I'll take it!)
I listened to the KFOG broadcast and they totally butchered the show.
Shame on KFOG!
They only broadcast the last 2/3 of the show and they interrupted before the end
of every single song.
Although the music was fabulous the broadcast was a MAJOR disappointment
One of the best The Elevens ever played by Phil and the gang...however - as the Jam went right into The Eleven, a female KFOG DJ did the station ID at the very same, exact moment...SO SALTY! Like hearin' yr' mom leavin' a message on the answerin' machine whilst you and yo' lady are gettin' down...total buzzkill! Still, the song itself was dynamic and the Golden Road that followed was also one of the best i've heard them play. If you are looking on a map and yr' trying to find the "Golden Road"...ask John Molo...he always knows how to find it!
whats up mike p. nice to see your still around and hopefully doing well!! How's the new house?
Hey Liberty! i used to post here and other places and listen to my tapes all the time...with the new house, i just barely have time to listen, let alone, keep myself abreast on all the latest news and rampant debates and discussions...everytime i knock off a chore on the new house "to-do" list, two more appear on the bottom! Thus is life...are ya' excited for Summer Tour??!! Whoo-Hoo!! Hope to finally see/meet you and Mr. TapeCat at an East coast show this summer...makin' any???
Here's an unrelated story especially for Hedda...
It was 90-something, & Janes Addiction was playing Toads Place, NH, ct... It was the sick tour with Dave Navarro doing the reunion swing (Navarro was on Howard today too, cosmola)!
Perry had his hair in glittering tentacles stiffly standing out in all directions. The rest of his ensemble included a silk chinese nehru-type morning coat with wild dragon print, lace gloves, elbow length, and some sort of lace-up thigh high boots. Of course he was sporting full glitter eyeshadow & etc fabu ecoutrements...
Well he was deep into some slow & sweet tune, all melting & swirling during the jam~and he kinda was rotating slowly around toward his right, scanning the audience for fellow freaks. As he got to me, I sloowwly & with great animation, blew him a perfect, magical kiss, in turn blowing his li'l ole' mind...
He physically seemed to *feel* it, he paused, kinda reared back a little, & cocked his head back in gleeful laughter...
Those guys are pretty righteous
i've seen perry f. lick blood off of a dancing clown before. he is one twisted person. i suppose that is why i like him so much!!!
