Eyes, Shakedown, Mr. Charlie, Golden Road, TOO...??????/
I doubt it-- Shakedown, Mr. charlie, Golden Road played already. Wouldn't play it this soon.
several every other night repeats, e.g. HSF and Scarlet-Fire, and the RA tunes(which I have enjoyed, to my surprise).
yeah, but this line up still has a fairly limited repetoire, so I guarantee at least 2 of the songs I listed plus Truckin' & Happy Birthday
Passenger
same lineup(yeahhhh!)
into jam into(bs now on ps)
Pride of Cucamonga(phil)

Set 1
Passenger>
Pride>
Hardest Part>
Jam>
Stagger Lee>
Jam>
Doing that Rag>
Casey Jones
your guess is as good as mine! LOL
and that looks like what I heard.
I would say that the energy is there as it was at the Hammerstein. These tunes were smoked, including the vocals.
Not a lot of smoking in the audience, though, lol.
BRAVISIMO ON ANOTHER STAGGER LEE!! I knew it would happen at some point in the near future, that Phil would get soon hooked again as i have to that wonderful Garcia tune. Baio, Baioohh i can't wait to hear this version...i hop phil read the 2.15 thread, specifically where i asked joan to ask Stagger Lee to: " buy me a gin fizz love!!" this time rather than Phil singing that line (kinda gay) and beside that goofy litte thing Phil and Joan did a phenominal job it sounds soooo great as a duet! Damn wish i were there to give my praise i'm sure our "friends" are taking care of it.
LONG LIVE P+F and keep on growin'!!!!!
comin on stage
What time did the show start?
Jam into some techie running around stage withjam continuing(no joan, yet)...into
Unbroken Chain
started about 830, so slightly short 1st set, but, again, they nailed each song.
did I mention they are nailing UBC, and Barry owns this tune!!!!!
missed that transition intothe slow part, somewhat, but they recovered very nicely.
I think they are getting a little tpo relaxed and loose, lol
into Shakedown Street(Joan- at least she is asking Rob if it os she or he, lol). Joansings.
sounded like a sure WLAFadaway, but it is a very slow SS.
BS on ps
Now I wish I could of gone tonight as well as tomorrow!
into a jam/spacey jam, into....
space, joan doing some space w the boys...BS still on ps...into
MidnightHour(joan)
joan strutting
guess that's as close as we we will get to a Mardi Gras nod.
afterwards joan tell us 'sometimes I can't wait that long'
now on to Reuben and Cherisse(sp?)(joan)...a bit slower than 'usual'
sounds like something Pen would SING!!!!
re: 'sometimes'
lc mandolin for R+C
now into...All Along the Watchtower(joan)
&nd this tune is killer. both guitar solos-killer. loud, driving medium tempo.
spacey jam w joan as a siren again, lol
into DEWWWWWWWWW
into a jam into ikyr(phil, joan and rob in unison)
nice uptempo
holy shit, I'm in Philly listening to it via cell phone and it even rocks through that!!!
I'm predicting a Cosmic Charlie encore...
how bout a stella / box??
encore: next time you seeme things won't be the same(joan)
So much for predictions lol...
that's it ata about 1215am
e&rly night
my kid took this 2-21
hey, I am really looking forward to hearing this live in my hometown of Philly. but I must admit the audience in ny and prov are awesome. I think providence gave the band a remarkable ovation, even compared to nyc.
looking forward to tomorrow night. then back to philly for the subdudes(fri@noon) and phil.
this band will rock the tower like no one else
VERY nice PIC. was that him up on the left? he seemed to gwt some incredible shots!!!!!!

Quick review of the show at Lupo's night one. Barry Sless!! Larry was killer also but Sless was on fire!! Very cold in that place...Phil wore turtle neck the whole time,Joan a scarf. Sipe seems to be getting the hang of things. Joan was wonderful! Barraco again great! Phil VERY happy, so great! Had a great time..on a work night too! Phil Delivers.
quick points to make
1 - to me, this show was mainly about the between song jams, which were frequent and tasty - I kept hearing Let It Grow all night, bits of Terrapin at times, and Shakedown definitely sounded more like West LA until they started singing. At one point, they played the end of China Doll!
2 - quite a few songs were very well executed, especially Shakedown, Doin That Rag and Morning Dew, which was incredible - the opening Passenger into Pride of Cucamonga was great, and the Set I closer, Casey Jones, was also on fire. The Next Time You See Me encore was perfect
3 - the place to be at Lupo's is in the mezzanine - lots of room, and remember, heat rises!
4 - if you get to Providence around 6PM, you can park for free
5 - but don't bother going in until around 7:40PM to avoid the long cold line getting in
6 - Rob, how can you have this show up already? dude!
6 - tonight's going to be off the charts!
I AM PSO PSYCHED!!
how was the attics at hammerstein?
it should of been the last song, I think my heart was ripped out after they went into RA's new york new york
Sorry i know this doen't go here but this thread will get the most exposure ...
.. I found a watch in the balcony, Mezz Right, e-mail me with description and I'll send it to you.

i know! I've never been so bummed to hear a 2 song encore before. Attics was absolutely incredible anyway, though.
attics was stunning! such a powerful, poetic song and beautifully sung. the New York New York was just a ditty in comparison, but phil was determined to do the bookends thing to the NY run. we saw it comin' a mile away!
PRIDE OF CUCAMONGA WAS THE BEST TO DATE!
ABSOLUTELY ACED IT!
I AM SURPRISED NOBODY COMMENTED ON THAT!
ALSO BARRY AND LARRY WERE BACK AND FORTH JAMMIN'
AND I HAVE NOT HEARD THIS LIKE THAT YET THIS TOUR
TREMENDOUS SHOE, EVEN THOUGH A LITTLE SHORT
I loved the Passenger opener, got everyone dancing right away! Joan nailed ' Hardest Part' and Stager Lee was beautifully shared between Joan and Phil for the vocal. Doin' that Rag was a pleasant surprise at the end of the set, that especially my buddy beside me was impressed with. ( i was at the front, left side of the stage both nights, the long haired kid with his girlfriend!
Unbroken Chain, was one of the highlights for me, and the band took it to the outer reaches of space and back, Joan sang my blues away, with Midnight hour, perhaps nailing the song better then anyone since Pigpen. Then blowing me away again with Morning Dew, the band really gave thier emotional all during Dew, and it was certaintly one of the better DEWS post jerry i've heard. Next time you see Me, was a fun encore
The interplay between Barry and Larry was great tonight, and i think of the two shows at Lupos this run, this one was PLAYED better. Between almost every song the band was breaking into beautiful, cosmic, dramatic, and triumphant bonds, dancing around each other with ease. This band is tight.
>>>PRIDE OF CUCAMONGA WAS THE BEST TO DATE!
WORD! The changes were 100% pppppeeeeerrrrrfect!
YUMMY
Just listened again and man oh man...
Im young, and these two shows in Rhode Island may be the highlight of my dead tenure. a mixture between the lovely city of providence, the wonderful people i met, and the killer shows and being right on the stage! ( Joan was singing Midnight Hour to me!!!) haha this was in my opinion the better of the two shows, tons of fun!
