From Boca Tampa Orlando The energy just got better every song every night. Walking around Mizner Park in Boca listenning to the soundchecks outside. ST Stephen a few Morning Dews Cosmic Charley and China Doll. Now that was just the Boca Sound Checks. So I did not think the 3 shows would even topp the sound checks but again I was proven wrong. All 3 of these shows need to be listenned to on the CDs. IT IS A MUST. The blood drive in Boca produced 55 pints of blood. It was so nice to spend some time with Phil and the band. Boca Blow-out Tampa great sound great set. Orlando Heavy energy. More Florida dates are a must. Maybe next time we can have 5 nights in Boca. Once again Phil thank you for a real GOOD TIME

That sounds great. I am anticipating the tour up here in NC, Asheville and Raleigh. At least I will get to see Scofield once with Phil. The setlists look incredible, to say the least. Peace.

jmvho i liked this better than the Q. molo barraco, and phil were in the q. campbell and scoffield r jelling like herring and haynes did, maybe better.

Oh Yeah. Boca was the heat and enjoy listening to tampa. Can't wait for the Orlando torrent.

just got home from the shows....all three were smoking....
my highlites:
boca: the second set was just sick....st stephen>slipknot>shakedown is burned into my brain....not to mention the dark star>eyes>dark star....

tampa: i focused on scofield most of the night....just amazing....the jam in unbroken chain blew me away....larry and john trading off with some incredible guitar playing....joan was terrific in nobody girl>china doll>nobody girl....sang them with passion....

orlando: i think the most energy i ever seen from a phil and friends band....the energy went to the crowd....loved the whole show especially the mississippi half step encore, larry on the fiddle then the steel peddle....

all in all a great 3 show run....need phil to come back soon....

Sco was SO much better in Orlando than Boca. I thought he sounded lost in Boca. He was totally ON at Orlando show.

FIRST OFF PHIL WONT LIKE THIS BUT IF YOURE EVER IN THE BOCA AREA, CHECK OUT A SHOW AT MIZNER. BUT DONT BUY A TICKET.

ITS HARD TO EXPLAIN BUT THE PLACE IS AT THE END OF AN OUTSIDE MALL. YOU CAN SIT AND PARTY COMFORTABLY RIGHT OUTSIDE THE PLACE ALONG THIS NICE WALKWAY AND THE MUSIC IS PRISTINE ALL THE WAY DOWN THE STREET.
EVERY SHOW THERE IS REALLY A FREE CONCERT.

THEY EVEN SELL BEER ALONG THE WALKWAY AND ALLOW DRINKING, EATING, PICNICING ETC.

THERE ARE PROBABLY MORE PEOPLE PARTYING OUTSIDE THAN INSIDE AND THE COPS ARE COOL AND LET EVERY1 BE.

ALSO YOU CAN PARK FOR FREE INSIDE THE MALL PARKING LOT.

AS FOR THE SHOW.
THIS WAS A COMPLETELY RIDICULOUS SETLIST.
SERIOUSLY.
WE WERE LAUGHING AT POINTS IT WAS SO CRAZY.

FIRST SET WAS HOT AND TIGHT WITH 2 CHARLIES ESPECIALLY COZMIC JUST PERFECT. SOUND WAS RIGHT ON.
BROKEN ARROW WAS REALLY NICE.

2ND SET WAS ONE OF THOSE RARE NIGHTS WHEN SETLIST AND PLAYIN COME TOGETHER.

ST. STEPHEN/SLIPKNOT/SHAKEDOWN OPENER WAS SIMPLY A DREAM. AND IT WAS NAILS.
LET ME SAY THIS ONE MORE TIME AND REPEAT AFTER ME:

ST. STEPHEN/SLIPKNOT/SHAKEDOWN.

STEPHEN WAS ROCKIN HOT AND SLIPKNOT WAS FREAKIN UNREAL.
SHAKEDOWN WAS REDONE WITH A LITTLE DIFFERENT GROOVE WHICH WAS INTERESTING. AND THE 3 TOGETHER WAS INSANE.

AS A MATTER OF FACT THE 6 TOGETHER TO OPEN THE 2ND SET WAS--WELL USUALLY YOURE HAPPY TO GET 2 IN A ROW-- LET ALONE 6 IN A ROW THAT BOWL U OVER.

DARK STAR/EYES/DARK STAR WAS OUT THERE AND I WAS A LITTLE TO SPACED AT THIS POINT TO GIVE A KNOWLEDGEABLE CRITIQUE. BUT IT WAS FUN AND WE WERE DANCIN.

MORNING DEW AGAIN WAS LAUGH OUT LOUD. I MEAN COME ON ARE U KIDDING ME. A VERY SWEET AND PRETTY VERSION.
THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE JERRY SONGS AND OF COURSE IT AINT JER BUT JOAN DOES IT NICELY.
I LIKE HER VOCALS MUCH BETTER THAN ROBINSON.

THIS WAS A SPECIAL SHOW.

ALSO WHEN WE GOT THERE THEY WERE STILL DOING THE SOUNDCHECK, WHICH WAS LIKE A CONCERT PLUS.

THE SONG, THAT I WAS LATER TOLD WAS NOBODY GIRL, WAS REALLY BEAUTIFUL. AND THEN THEY JAMMED INTO CHINA DOLL AND BACK INTO NOBODY GIRL.

THIS ENTIRE SEQUENCE WAS AMAZING. I MEAN THAT IN ITSELF WAS ONE OF THE HIGHLIGHTS.

ID NEVER HEARD NOBODY GIRL BEFORE AND I WAS RUNNING AROUND ASKING EVERY1 WHAT THAT WAS AND THEN THEY LIT INTO CHINA DOLL AND AGAIN JOAN WAS SPOT ON.

What a great Florida run!!

To me, Orlando was the high-energy show. Smokin'!The second set in Boca was great -- St. Stephen-->Slipknot-->Shakedown was awesome. I appreciated the Tampa show more when I was there, rather than when I listened to it afterward (sometimes, you just have to BE there)...then again, it must have been the toadstools... ;-)

crowd in Boca - Mellow, yes.
except way down front a few crazies.

i dont remember the second set being mellow, like normal phil mellow, and there actually was a moment in there where it got what i would call HARDROCK for phil, many around us pumpin fist.

i wanna to listen to it.

the entire vibe all day IMO was teetering on this wierd edge, yet very carefree.

take dark star for instance, not very spacy, more foward driven and rockin.

every person i still talk to around here brings up the show and starts acting gaga.

Am I one of the "crazies"? LOL. I hope so cause Boca was prob my fav show of the year, so far. That was like a f'n dream come true. Great people. Great Music. Great venue. Thanks Phil.
