See this band if you can. Best 15.00 ever spent. JJ was even kind enough to sign a brothers cd. Can't say enough about how good these guys sounded.Played in no particular order (too many new castles) lochloosa, Dirtfloorcracker, Six Ways From Sunday Blackwater, Florida, Jookhouse,Brighter Days, Circles, Country Ghetto, Tragic f'n killer version of The Sun Is Shining Down, he actually had to leave after the song to compose himself. I am sure that i've left some shit out. Love the addition of the horns live.
Danced my ass off, hot as hell in that venue tonight. Sold out show not too crowed on the floor close up, rode the rail all night.
great time...must sleep
Seems they are really hitting their stride.
And yeah, the horns are a huge addition.
Cool. . . I'm planning to see them in about a month. I saw them a year and a half ago, when they were opening for the Derek Trucks Band and they were great. I felt that they did a nice job as an opener, though seeing them in a sit-down theatre wasn't really the proper forum to completely appreciate them. Looking forward to catching them in a small, sweaty club, where dancing is encouraged!
BOTB - what's the Mofro CD you would recommend for a neophyte such as myself? Thanks.
Blackwater all the way....instant classic. The new CD country Getto is interesting with the addition of horns.
look for uhollis on the zone he has hooked me up with a few shows...I'm sure he would b&p you a show or two if you asked

Hey hollis, y'all got your lodging all secured up the coast? I know a great place at an organic farm on the lost coast and a beach dive in mendo if you need 'em. Drop a line if so.
