Another fine night with Bobby, Ted, and Tyler:
Set list (rough, might have missed a song somewhere)
Know You Better ?
Same Thing ?
Taking Over California
Round The Bend ?
When The World Comes Tumblin Down
Air Tran Woman
Fall Into The Sky
Blow My Brains *
Miss Hawaii *
* Ted on acoustic bass; all other tunes were electric bass
Highlights were the smokin' "Galaxy Girl" straight out of the gate, a tasty "Ike" (always a highlight for me), a "Lima" with a bridge that walked a Latin tightrope somewhere between "Brazil" & "Third Stone From The Sun" (ariba!), and a killer "Blow My Brains". One of the "?" tunes was also really good, had kind of a Memphis soul feel, like something you'd hear from Bonnie Raitt or Susan Tedeschi.
(I managed to get a setlist at the end of the show, but it wasn't even close to the order I listed; some of the tunes written on it are "Analyze", "Soul Recovery", Saved" and "You Don't Know"; there are only five tunes written on it that I know they played for sure)
Lots of energy from the band, even though there didn't seem to be as many people as at the Fox. Again, can't understand the small turnouts, but those who do come out are certainly appreciative of the band, so hopefully word will get around.
You are not going to enjoy yourself this much for $10 at any other show anytime soon. Go see the Codetalkers!
They dont do a setlist, they write down song ideas and play off the feel of the room. Round the Bend is most likely "Saturn".
