A few weeks ago, I noticed that Alan Parsons was scheduled for 2 shows at the Nugget Casino in Reno this weekend. My wife and I decided to check out the friday 4/20 show.
I've always liked AP's music but wasn't sure what to expect in concert. Any reservations I had about the possibilty of "classic rock" cheese quickly disappeared as the band came out rocking hard. For 90+ mins, AP and band delivered all the hits you'd expect, plus a few new tunes. He dug fairly deep into the catalog, covering his entire career. I didn't write down a setlist but I do recall the following tunes:
Intro/I Robot, Breakdown, Damned If I Do, The Raven, Psychobabble, Wouldn't Want To Be Like You,
Time,We Play The Game, Games People Play, Sirius/Eye In The Sky.
I know I'm missing a couple tunes, including 2 songs off AP's most recent.
After the show, the entire band stuck around to sign autographs, mingle with fans etc. Great show!
I saw a show in Toronto about 5 years ago by AP and it was also great.
