Dylan played a good show in Hershey the other night. He played on guitar for the first 5 songs. It was nice to see him with the ax again as he had played keyboards only for a couple years. He even played some good leads. The band jammed pretty well and stretched out some of the songs.
The venue (Hershey Star Pavilion, not the Stadium) was quite full. There were few empty seats in the reserved section and the lawn was quite full. I felt the crowd was enthusiastic. There was even a guy dressed as 1976 Bob Dylan with the hat and white face paint.
All Along The Watchtower has a new arrangement. It was kinda scarey. He has some real spooky soungs from his keyboard and there were some intentional echos with some of his vocals.
If you are preparing for an upcoming Dylan show, you'll want to check out his recent CD (Modern Times). He's playing 3 or 4 songs from that CD each night. I didn't really like the CD until the 3rd or 4th listen.
I looked at the setlist for the show that followed Hershey and it was quite different.
