Well lets see. Worst show I have ever seen. Opening act was a joke, and then @ 10 PM, Show was to start at 7:30, Lauyrn comes on. It sound like shit. The sound was bad, the band was bad, her voice was bad...you name it. After 30 min. we left. Heard things on the way out like "she's got to be on crack!" or "Looks like whitney"
Too bad cause I used to really like Lauryn.

Wow, that's a bummer to hear. I would have expected a great show from her...I saw some tickets being scalped for big bucks on Craigslist too...

sounds as crappy as the review I read of her $65 show at the catalyst months ago. maybe she can get her old acting job back on as the world turns.

yeah i have heard terrible things abour her recent shows. did she have brian jordan playing guitar in her band? i know he did the shows last year, and he's a total pro, so i was surprised to hear such bad reviews. sounds like she just doesn't have much respect for her fans, showing up super late and giving attitude when people pay big $ to see her play with no new material. lame.

she sounded good at dave chappelle's block party. maybe just because she knew there were cameras.

i saw her at smoking grooves years ago acoustic and it was boring as hell. she had a nice voice and style though... saw her with the fugees a few times and they were a lot of fun. wish they would get back together and do their thing. none of them really interests me much on their own but when they get together they put on a heck of a show.

I enjoyed reading it though, it's always nice when someone other then Joel Selvin does reviews, his style is bland and too commercial for my liking.

Too bad about Lauryn though, I thought she was getting herself back together.
