Killer show with the Crowes at the Warfield last night. Lots of energy, although it was a short show, it was a free show, so that was sweet.
Highlight for me was Soul Singing and Thorn in my Pride with Chris playing the harp. Opening band was pretty good, I would have preferred more Crowes though. So was anyone there besides me?

Cool!
Rev Buddy Green had passes so hopefully he made it in!
How was the crowd?
FREE?? I thought you had to buy $50 worth of swag from MLB to get in?
The crowd was pretty mellow, I waited outside for about 4 hours to get in. Although I probably did not need to wait that long, but got great seats. The balcony was for general admission and the floor was for VIPs only. But it was fun regardless.
You did have to buy $50 worth of MLB swag to get in, but I returned that crap already to get my money back. Sorry MLB, but I am just not much of a baseball fan.
ha ha ha ha...good thinking...return the shwag!
Hadn't even occurred to me, but I got a nice All-Star Hoodie out of the deal, I've needed a good hoodie since I lost mine at the fillmore a while back...
Four hours is a bit of a wait, but great seats make up for it!
Damn why didn't I think of that. sounds like a fun night, thanks for the review Chris.
the Crowes LOVE playing Sting Me in the #2 position of their setlist. Been doing that for years.... last night I listened to a Crowes show from 96 with dudes from BRS49 sitting in and it was pretty cool.
I was there... Kind of a predictable greatest hits set but a fun time. The jam in Soul Singing was pretty off the hook.
Baseball sucks so bad they have to give Crowes Tickets away just to get you to buy their shit?
I am willing to wager its the other way around Fabes...
I don't know Skydog. Their current band was solid, even without Mark Ford and Eddie Harsh. Paul Stacy was sitting in from New Earth Mud I'm not sure who was on Keyboards. I'd happily pay money to go see them in a string of concerts at the Fillmore again. That was a blast, sold out every night.
Hell I'd even pay to see NEM. But as you can guess I am a bit of a fan of their sound.
I like the Crowes/NEM a great deal, but let's face facts.
Baseball is drawing their largest attendance numbers in history. Revenues have never been higher, and the amount of MLB Licensed merchandise that is purchased through the website and at the games is astronomical.
This was to help the Crowes draw fans, not the other way around.
Good thinking, Chris! Dern, that was a fine idea!
Did Rev get in? I wanted to go to that show, but wasn't willing to spend $50 on schwag to do it.
