Donna Jean & the Tricksters from Sat night
got there around noon on Friday, set up camp, decompressed and then wandered over to the stage area. Covert Operations came on and opened with Viola so I knew I was in the right place...
Well organized, staff was accommodating, enclosed restrooms and showers were kept supplied and clean, plenty of healthy beverages and foods available, inside bar with decent local brewed on tap. More flies at that place than the Outback though.
The music? yeah the music was the star, DJ & the Tricksters gets my vote for best showing of the weekend.
Found out Sunday when I was leaving that Chinese Fingertrap played, wish I had a known about that!
the MoonAlice clan is on a mission and doing their thing while Melvin and JGB never fail to give me goosebumps.
Again Saturday, to me, was the better time. Maybe because the sound was a bit more together, maybe because I was doing the non-alcoholic thing, I don't know...
Go next year and see how it works for you.
Thanks for the upload--I am enjoying it right now!
groovy, it was my pleasure to bring it home
I got the dates wrong:P the one thats already up is August 4th, the Friday night show was August 3. I'll have to re-upload in the wee hours to get that corrected. I always manage to mess somethin up while enthusiastically bumbling around.
wow what a line up for moon alice
where was this ??

Nem --
Very nice photos & review, thx for posting!!
Nem, I am wondering if you could change the Live Archive listing to be Donna Jean & the Tricksters instead of The Zen Tricksters. These are two separate bands. If you can, great. If not, it's not the end of the world. Again, thanks!
Right on Gary, I didn't even think to review/picture thing until you asked
Randi, that sort of change would have to be initiated or at least authorized by someone from within the DJ&tT organization.
I thought the same thing cause last week I was looking for some to listen to and only after much deductive reasoning did I think to check under the Zen Tricksters directory for some Donna Jean and the Tricksters...
Moonalice from Saturday night

Thanks for the info Nem.
no problem its alot easier than it sounds. If someone were to email someone that had an @donnajeanandthetricksers.com email address and asked "are you guys okay with your shows being posted on the Archive?" and they emailed that person back whatever conversation and a "yes" and that person emailed a copy of both of those emails to etree@archive.org with the subject line being archive hosting consent(name of band here) that would constitute authorization for activation...
probably a little easier than that considering that the band in question is already fine with it and the LMA heads are aware of it. Post a request in the forum? and heres JGB from said weekend to wrap it up nice n neat: http://www.archive.org/details/jgb2007-08-04.aud.s hn, everything from Friday that I got will be passed around via cdr

Hey, I already noticed that the JGB set is up - are you the taper, Nem, or the uploader? Good work any which way... PeterT
yep Im guilty of both of those offenses. Glad you dig the JGB set, coming from someone who tapes them as much as you that means plenty to me. I love the GAMH story! (and recording)
