How about a little southern rock..
A cold cloudy night in the middle of a heat wave, dropped down into the 50 s' , good crowd,
great sound. A big stage on a field next to the state fair, up in the skylands region of nw jersey.
The Artimus Pyle Band
Two guitar players, keys, bass and drums,
and a singer, a good set of rocking skynyrd tunes, including Gimme Three Steps,Whats Your Name, Call me the Breeze, Needle and the Spoon (very good), Simple Man (very good), Freebird (classic jam), and a few others.
~The Outlaws~
Two drummers, two guitar players and a bass player..
Hughie Thomasson, David Dix, Monte Yoho, Chris Anderson and Randy Threet
A spectacular set by the Outlaws, scorching guitar work and tight long wailing jams, two lead guitars, great drumming with a solo, they opened the set with the a ripping version of Ghost Riders in the Sky, and closed the set the a monster Green Grass and High Tides, heres most of the set, these guys just flat out rip!!. A classic Jersey jam, with the crowd up against the stage.

Missed a few songs by both bands, and Dan Toler
played in between with a local band Southern Fury.

Gee, they are still rocking? I saw them in the 80's, double bill with Molly Hatchet.
