Wayne and Derek were the hands-down stars last night. Holy cow! They had such a good rapport and were so damn skilled. Derek just keeps getting better and Warren seemed happy to let him shine. Gregg Allman also appeared content to let the guitarists dominate the spotlight. He even let Chimenti take over on keys for Schoolgirl while he took a break off stage, and the Ratdogger did just fine. Ron Holloway sitting in on sax added a lot of smoke too.

Ratdog gave a solid performance as openers, and I agree that it seemed to get better as it went along. Crowd was pretty sparse at the opening, but was respectable and enthusiatic by the set closer. There was some epic jamming between Weir, chording maniacally, and Kimock weaving riffs around him. Playin' jam was especially notable. And KIMOCK SMILED! He even twirled his guitar at the end.
As much as I appreciate RD, however, the Allmans played at a whole 'nother level.

What time did they start? Camden ticket says 6 but it looks like maybe not. Are they switching back and forth on openining?

Cant wait to see Derek rip it up again!! Saw him at Crossroads and actually met him as well . Very cool!

They started at 6:30. No KW opener at Nissan. As I understand it, Allmans close every show and after you see them you will understand why.

I say stay away from Nissan like the plague. Once inside things were cool but the lot scene with the Nazi's and thier dogs was just a nightmare come true. I thought I was in a communist country. My God, don't those people have anything better to do than to F with Hippies.

The show rocked, and ABB has been pretty much on all tour, but Nissan was the first of the ABB shows I saw. Last night they played Petosky Michigan but I was too worn out from weeks on the road with the Dog to go.
