ANY ONE CHECK OUT THE JAM AT THE ELECTRIC FACTORY AFTER FRIDAY'S CAMDEN SHOW!!! I'D LOVE TO HEAR WHAT OTHERS THOUGHT...THE MUSIC WAS EXTRAORDINARY!!! MOSTLY RUSTED ROOT FANS ..DID'NT SEE MANY FOLKS FROM THE SHOW..TOOOOO BAD...HA.HA.HA.HA.HA
I was there and thought it was great. Expecially thw watchtower > franklins tower. I wish it had lasted longer. I was standing dead center about 3 people from the stage and it looked like they were all really into. I was suprised when weir came up to the mic after the 3rd song and said something like "my pillows calling" and they ended it.
I was suprised at how few people seemed to go over from the show.
It was a blast! Nice to hear some LOUD music -- compared to the lawn at Camden which had me aching for more VOLUME - please!!! The Franklin's ROCKED!!! Plenty of dancing room and good vibes in there. Plus the Rusted Root chick is a hottie!! Good times - good cause - thanks for the bonus tunes!!
The Come Together vocals were the most embarrasing thing I have ever heard. I even saw Bobby shake his head after one verse the Rusted Root singer butchered. The last two songs were great, though. I guess no one came over from the show because the thought they would miss it or there would be too many people. I talked to a couple of people who left at the beginning of Dancin' to get to the Efactory in time. We left after the encore and took the ferry over to Penns Landing. We caught a cab and pulled into the Efactory parking lot right behind the Dead's buses. We had to give away a ticket we bought for one of our friends who disappeared from us during the show because everyone there had already bought tickets. The Franklin's jamming between Al & Jimmy was awesome, as was the sight of Phil dancing around in a circle with the other bass player on stage.
Very cool. It took a while to get there and we got confused and lost on the way....so we only got to "listen to the music play" for the jam before Franklin's and only saw 20 minutes or so of the show. I have seen alot of phil and Bobby independent of eachother at venues that small, but it was a trip to see everyone up on stage. They had some fun with it and it was loud and late and I am just glad I was there.
got there at the beginning of watchtower walked right up in front of the soundboard like ther was a space saved for us.what a treat definetly a maxell moment. you no with the guy sittinhg in the chair with his hair being blown back by the music. so glad we made it peace-----
