Yeah that was way fun!

Thanks to HBR for bringing it this weekend. What a ride. The NYC show
was hot..crazy opener, barnyard suite Fox>Cluck old Hen>Spider (do
you guys call it that?) and Summer Time Gal. Good time, lots of
parting, lots of dancing... friday night in new york. Took it up to
Newton NJ sat and sunday for more fun..saturday we heard a SICK
evolution>thrill. Man what a great show saturday was. The first time
i ever saw HBR was @ magnolia festival a few years ago and Andy
Goessling sat in for Thrill, ive been a big fan ever since. Hearing
this saturday night was really great. They also played a Gillian
Welsh song and closed with Sugaree.

"come all ye who may..
Come and shine your light
On the darkest part of the night
Even if you can't make it right
Well I say come all ye who may"

I left the show saturday night feeling whole and righteous. There are
not many bands that can do it for me in this regard anymore, HBR
brings it out everytime.

Sunday was icing on the proverbial cake. I got up early and got crap
done, hit the heater and took a nice drive back up 206 toward newton
with some legion of mary spinning in the car. The sun was setting and
a misty fog filled the valley. I grew up not far from the fountain
house and living in newark the past 15 years i miss the area very
much. The fountain house has been a very special place for us
railroad earth hobos the past few years, and nothing beats heading up
there on a sunday afternoon to see music.

Todd Sheaffer, Andy and John played a beautiful set sunday night,
Which included a sweet peggy-o that "almost" brought me to tears.
They got the room dialed in and by the time butter took the stage we
were all ears. Northeast Tour closer, and a handful of songs ive
havent heard them do in a long time. John Walker Lindn, Bird In A
House, Possom, Football and Torandos (?)...Dovetail Joint was really
sweet too, i was kind of hoping for a norwegian wood in there but im
grateful for what we got. Angeline the Baker had to room spinning,
and the acoustic Strings Breathe> Ride Me High encore was amazing.
MORE SING ALONGS! :-)

Lots of thanks to the band (have a safe flight back guys!), molly,
the hobo stage and all the fine folks & friends i danced with this
weekend. We dont get you guys out east enough anymore, and when we do
its a very special occasion. I hope we see you all sooner then later.

Sounds like a great weekend!

Haven't heard John Walker Lindh in forever...and Bird in House, don't think I've ever heard them do that one!

Looking forward to the west coast return!! :-)

Sweet - lots of tunes for you!

What is the knitting factory like? I just saw that the NRPS are playing there in April.

Emily!...in a perfect world we'd have lots of cash to fly coast>coast to see shows like this. you were with us friday night.

BIAH was a real surprise. Nat handed Todd his guitar and for a song we had "todd and friends" playing.

It's just called "You Ain't Goin' Nowhere"

Never understand why they always insist on writing it wrong on Butter setlists.
