'New' Zone means it's time for new reviews! Might as well be good ones...as always, the Mother Hips rocked a sold out house of die hard fans! This show was the cd release show, every paid admission also got a copy of the new album. I was expecting maybe a download code, but no, they gave everyone a hard copy of the new disc! Haven't had time to listen to it yet, but from what I heard live, it's good stuff.

The ? in the setlist is probably new stuff, there's a bunch of new tunes in there, some were pretty easy to identify, the second set opener is a new one, I really liked it! The new stuff fit in well with the old stuff, which fits in well with the really old stuff! Everything flowed well, no odd gaps because the new tunes didn't flow well...

The highlight of the night for me was the can't sleep Zeppelin sandwich, loud rock n roll at it's finest! The only disappointment of the night was the lack of 'hey emilie'...this is the fourth or fifth show in a row it's been missing. Not sure why they aren't playing it these days but I hope it makes a come back soon!
