I wanted to post some pics I took at the Red Fox show in the thread over in Other Stuff, but that had already been archived, so here's my abbreviated review from OS, along with a few extras.
Really glad I went, even though it's a 1.5-hour drive each way and I got home at 3:30 am. A pretty full house, maybe 150 peeps, gettin' FUNK-ed up!! I didn't keep any setlist notes, and I only recognized a handful of songs, but near the end of the first set we got an over-the-top Down By The River > Breathe > Let the Good Times Roll. In the second set, they stepped up the funk a few notches and played another Pink Floyd tune (Us and Them), and ended the set with a killer Purple Haze groove. In the encore, we got short portions of Get Out My Life Woman > Not Fade Away > Iko !!
Thanks to all who encouraged me to go. Those are some phenomenal musicians, esp. George Porter Jr. and Russell Batiste Jr. Brian Stoltz is no slouch on guitar, either. Power funk trio, indeed!!

Ummm, ya!! The dude rocks like hell. When I was seeing the Neville's in the 80's we would refer to the shows as getting "Stoltz-ified". He's one of my favorites.
