Someone was wanting to know were to smoke inside . The best spot is all the way up both sets of stairs right in the stair well before the balcony . You can hang right there no blue shirts are near there . Everytime i go to the Orpheum im there b4 the show and intermission.
RE: Smoking - They will hunt you down if you do. Be VERY, VERY discreet. Outside in the smoking corral at intermission is the safest place.
"Two shows down and another to go, my old body, you've moving much too slow"
Can't wait till tonite. Hopefully I'll run into some of you fellow Zoner's @ the Show. See you out @ "The Corral" during intermission!
I'll be in Orch Row Q Seat 125 wearing a Bobby shirt if anyone wants to stop by and say "high"
SteveO
OK, so I still have no takers for the front row of the Balcony. Last chance - $80 for the pair...
Tuesday: Mezz Row A 111/113

>>Tuesday: Mezz Row A 111/113
wouldn't that be 3 seats, not 2????
They alternater odd and even. Even seats 110/112/114 on one side of the theatre while the mirror section on the other side has the odd 111/113/115 etc.
Less than 2 1/2 hours to go until out of the office. Listened to 09/25/03 and now 09/26/03 has begun so far today. Lots getting done at the office. I wish these guys would keep going and have a nice spring tour and summer again like 01 & 02 that was a lot of fun. Plus my wife and I are going cross country next summer leaving MA on 06/24/03 for 18 days so I am hoping for an early summer tour again. But that's way ahead today is today and I am psyched for today! Thank you to the "Q" and I love the set list keep em coming!

thank you.
Dark Star eh? Fuck. Couldn't have waited one more day.
Hey Taper Rob, nice to meet you finally.
This caps a three night run of enormous proportion, IMO. I think Phil is making a statement, one which we may not fully comprehend until later on . . . This is the best band in rock and roll right now, period.
Teague Dwyer........
Where's my ABB from Hartford 2000?
buckyrhino@yahoo.com
show now streaming on Zone Radio...
goo goo ga goob.
what a sick fukn show, what a sssssscene out side the Park St T station a full gas ghetto that reminded me of Philly.
goo goo ga goob indeed
they've been the absolute best band - period since first 2000 run w/ jimmy + warren who are unbeatable, period.
molo drives this band with his amazing ability to take the beat in a different direction, but hook right back no prob, they also transition perfectly most the time.. with universal jams like we've never heard.
i could go on and on.. we love phil.
My brother called me 7 times during the show....this is some amazing music. I pity the nay-sayers. You can't get much better.
My other friend, whos going to Phish next week (sorry..I don't want to start that..this is just a comment), said that "Trey and Co. would have to have naked women, lots of explosions, and Trey playing 3 guitars at once" to even get mildly close to the show tonight.
Nothing we didn't allready know.
Go see Phil and friends people, at all costs. Who knows how long we will have it for. You only live once.
I'm buying lotto tickets all week to see if I can buy a plane ticket to the Beacon. Wish me luck.
thanks to taperrob for getting the set lists out so quickly. due to professional responsibilities i couldn't go to ANY of these 3 shows and i'm now KICKING MYSELF FOR IT!!!!!! should have banged in sick one of these last few days and made it in. long live the Q!!!!
peace,
steve d.
Phil dropped the Big Bomb on The other one! I think the northeast thought it was a earthquake!
Cant wait for tonight in Oakdale!
Must work now..talk later!
Woke up this morning geared up to listen to 3'rd night of Boston. Looked at set list and saw some great material and thought how fortunate the Phans were. Must addmit that the stream was already into the second set as Sunshine just started...after a few minutes had to pinch myself to make sure I was not dreaming...or better yet not having a nightmare.....got on the chat and a couple of zoners were arguing so could get no feedback on other opinions of what I was listening to...made a huge mug of coffee and figured the "burst of glare" would open the ear drums....no such luck......Midnite hour was a bit weak. Patchwork quilt, the encore, a tune I have grown to really like was a yawner. Was it me or did this show lack... or was my coffee Decaf?
Got To Know!!!
Adios Amigos
PLQ>work>coffee>streaming>YES!
Yeah, I thought the Patchwork was a little too low for the moment. But the Midnight Hour was definitely not weak, it was on fire. Definitely one of my highlights, along with the Mississippi Half-Step and the Walrus. Thank you Phil and Friends.
Did anyone else catch Warren's Hendrix foyble during Midnight Hour or were my friends and I going nuts?? We heard Warren sing some "fire" lyrics. "...Just a-play with me and you won't get burned,"
Right or wrong??
Either way...another great run at the Orpheum!!
yes he did do a couple lines from "fire"
Ted...heard the midnite hour again and I stand corrected...it was not weak.
Adios
3rd day in a row with very little sleep is starting to catch up to me. But what a run by the "Q". Last night 1st set was completely out of control right from the start. There were some phunky ass jams in there and just some amazing musical talent being displayed by everyone. Being 9th row last night my ears are still ringing here at work. I thought the 1st set last night was the best of all 3 it was just amazing the whole thing.
2nd set for me was a little mellow after that 1st set I was thinking it would be hard to match that. Broken Arrow was sweet and Phil's voice seems to be getting better and better. 1/2 step was pretty awesome and the DS>Walrus>DS was pretty solid the highpoint being the Walrus Rob was just belting out the words and jamming away. Here comes sunshine was nice I was really hoping for a Stephen>Cryptical to come full circle so I took myself out of the moment but the Midnight Hour was hot and brought me back to life and was well done. Patchwork Quilt I love this tune I wish it was placed somewhere else in the evening but it is was it is. We bid you good night! Nice finishing touch and then Grahame handed me one of Phil's wristbands so I was psyched! All in all 1st night was sweet 2nd night 1st set was pretty solid 2nd set was sick and 3rd night 1st set was unphuckingbelievable and 2nd set was pretty sweet. Thank you Phil and Friends for my relief from everyday things. Looking forward to seeing you again soon.
Peace and GOD Bless!
Whitey
Well I'm blown away. The Other One and Passenger? Crazy sh*t. I've never heard a Passenger that came remotely close and the look
on Phil's face when he stepped up to the mike to attempt to sing TOO was priceless. It was like he had a freight train bearing down on him from behind and all he had to do was scream to save himself but couldn't produce the sound. Un-f*cking-real. The second set sequence from Tomorrow never knows through the second verse of Dark Star was about as good an hour of music as I can remember hearing. I am the Walrus was out of control. So raw, so raucous. Damn, I love this band and I really believe that they love playing The Orpheum. Thanks so much PLQ, don't make us wait another 2 years before you come back to the Orpheum. I hope you felt the love! Let's do it again this spring.
Ummm, did anyone happen to notice that Phil introduced the band as "The Q"?
One of the nights not sure which he clearly introduced the band as members of the "Q"
Did anyone hear a Watchtower tease somewhere around DarkStar?
Other one > passenger!!! After Phil dropped the bass bombs and stepped to the mic for v.2 of TOO he almost looked hestitant (or overwhelmed) to sing due to the vortex of music swirling around the stage. A freight train indeed.
I thought Walrus was going to bring down the balcony. I'll confirm the Watchtower tease and the Fire improv by Warren.
I hope everyone realizes how lucky we are to get these multi-nite theatre runs. Long live the Quintet.
Ok ~ I love getting reviews from you guys!!! The TOOBoard thought last nights show sucked...tooooo funny!!!!
Can't wait for TONIIIGHT!!!!
Wow what a show, Long live the Quintet.
So Daydream, that was you over on the TooBoard defending The Q....I was wondering if it was "our daydream"......so Im going to see you and Dan in Philly arent I??
Happy Thanksgiving!
Hurricane
what is the address of the tooboard?
First set Other One, wow! I couldn’t believe my ears…
Passenger………Upside Out-------Inside Down……………WHEW!!!!!!
Second Set--
1/2 Step->Dark Star->I am the Walrus!!!->Dark Star!!!!!!!!!
INSANE!
Overall, an incredible three nights….
Thank God a long weekend to recover, mentally, physically…..emotionally….
I hereby give a huge THANKS to the "Q".
Happy Thanksgiving to all
Looks like my kind of setlist!!
thanks for the reviews everyone (on all shows)!!
What's with the audience trying to do that little
double clap in We Bid You Goodnight???
Sounds like a bunch of rhythmless white people
at a Phish concert?!?!? (WILSON!!!)
And we bid you good night-- Clap Clap (not in time to the song)
good night-- clap clap(even worse)
good night-- clap er,,, clap...
The band is going to give the audience a bad
review!!!
After listening to last night's show all day,(and, especially being there) I must say that...
MOLO is AMAZING!
He really takes it to another level on the drums. Knows when to pound 'em, and knows when to be subtle.
Anyone who is going to shows on the rest of the tour will NOT be dissapointed.
Have fun, I know I did!
i have just been informed that I do like warren songs (beautifully broken, patchwork quilt), it's the phil TABA songs I don't like. They do sound like those endless 80's sounding mule songs though. It doesn't matter though, cause the stuff i do like still outweighs that which I don't.
Hope to get a free ticket today for giving my seat to someone who has been waiting to fly home since Friday.
You people sound like little children when you squabble, crack me up.. WHO FUCKING CARES?
