WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

amen brother, the joy of music cannot be underestimated its holy.
no doubt! We are blessed to have the music, what is releases, and then here we are at home watching this on our computer! Crazy...
Man, if these guys are this hot already, imagine what the summer will hold. Those Cumberland jams before the break into Wanderin' were FAR OUT!
((((((iClips))))))
Very, very tight- they're learning to cover for each other. It's "Q" tight, folks. Looks like a great show.
There's talk of Warren joing the band for the second set. Wouldn't that be something?

Trio (NASA) Jam was cool but no face-melting... Looks like Phil is exploring some effects though. With a longer set some cool stuff could happen. Mellow, though. More Space, less Particle...

KILLER SHOW!!!
YES! That's a rap, goodnight all, and like Chris said, let's spread the love around!
Casey Jones was quick. I thought they would play all the way up until midnight. Oh well. Helluva show, eh folks?
Peace, all! Thanks for sharing a good time.
That was a winner...
This show sounded great. Both LC and JGe were looser than ever, imho, and SM played with some authority.
Looking for the download as I missed most of the second set warring with my thirteen year old, lol.
Phil looked really good and well, which makes me smile
rite before new speedway, the band played about 1 minute of Metallica's "Nothing Else Matters"...
is the download up on the internet yet?
>> "Nothing Else Matters"...
hi there
i may have misnamed the tune but it was certainly that one..
I know exactly what you mean
they put just enough of it out there
first I thought it was a High Time intro but then I heard the sound
review?
sure, go ahead
Oh man it's all still sinking in
This show was a swamped out dream rained from the heavens
The boys have quite clearly been practicing – Jackie somehow managed to step up his energy from the Nokia shows…at times it looked as if he may well run into Phil. The smiles and good energy of the entire “NASA Crew” was gloriously infectious over a crowd that was deep, far and joyous
Phils bass sounded excellent from our perch. Regarding Phils “Grateful Dead Canon Reinterpretation Theory” -- It makes more and more sense all the time. As we watch this lineup evolve into a legendary realm... his vision storms on
Even though Florida will never be my “home”
It felt really-really good bearing witness to Phil stopping in and blessing the region
The grateful echo leaves us with a golden hue
BRING ON THE SUMMER!!!
just returned from langerado. (hailskins - -you were there?! damn, i'm sorry i didn't run into you. i did, fortunately, see peggy-o, eric, and rasta (and company). what wonderful folks -- i love you guys!)
k and i went last minute and what a great time we had! saw: TH: dark star orchestra; F: the wailers, the mickey hart band, the sierra leone refugee allstars, and the beastie boys. SAT: railroad earth, arrested development; SUN: funky meters, grace potter, gov't mule, ani difranco, phil & friends. How fuckin cool is that for a weekend of music?! And on top of that, they were all quite good, especially phil, mule, grace, and arrested dev. the most challenging aspect of this trip was the 17 hour drive in the bus and then the environmental conditions in the everglades: the various conditions we experienced while camping included heavy rain, very strong wind, extreme hot AND cold, and these goddamn buzzkill fire ants that really fucked me up. but it was totally all worth it for this most amazing weekend of music and good times with my honey.
since this is phil's review section, here's what i thought of the show: phil's band has gotten better since i saw them last fall. jackie was putting his own interesting twist on the music, and larry campbell was playing his guitar better than i've ever heard. i used to notice him only with the fiddle/mandolin stuff, but now he's a guitar force. jackie is playing better too, interacting with larry and the other band members more and playing with more authority. phil was having a blast! steve molitz is fine, though i kinda prefer my grateful dead music sans electronica (my personal preference, of course -- i'm sure it's cool for lots of folks).
highlights for me: unbroken chain, help-slip-franklin's, new speedway, golden road - viola. the transitions were much tighter than before, and they were all taking more improvisational chances than they were last fall. lots of fun to dance and space out to.
i loved the scene there too. crowd was smiley and into it. great dancy places and loud, clean sound in the field at the everglades stage.
thanks, phil! that was just what i needed -- i'll be riding high off this for the rest of the month
the download is now up on http://bt.etree.org/details.php?id=513780
(((Mermaid)))
I'm not much a reviewer but the Phil show was just what we needed out at Langerado!
Great music, great friends! I love all I met!
I have been listening to this show for a week and I am loving more and more each time. Second set is on fire!
