have fun zoners...
Orch row AA for tonight Yeehaa!
how was security last night?
security was pretty overzealous in my section (back of orch on the keys side) they were messing with people all night. didn't see anyone get thrown out, but they did tear up or confiscate tickets...
hmm.. night need to go for a walk to indulge myself then....
nostalgia:
in 2001 i think it was we had front row for PAF at the beacon one night.. we left a large nug on the stage during intermission, when we came back, it was still there. It was convenient to have the stage there to break up stuff on. I love the beacon.
Thinking about making the trek up to NYC from Upper Darby PA. Were there many extra tickets floating around last night? Any tonight?
i saw a few pople get tix. Not a ton around but if you know what you are doing, you will get in.

how was security last night?>>>
pertty bad, but at the end they left it seemed, didnt toss you out at least if they saw you smoke...great show an dplace, have fun 2nite!!!
be careful have fun ,last night was hot
No problems with security in my section last night, and I managed to get up to the stage for the H>S>F and encore. I'm up in the 1st Mez tonight. Hope I can puff up there...
no probs walking through security, just if you're puffing keep it on the dl, unless you want a flashlight in your face. didn't boot anyone for smoking last night but the ushers and security frowned upon it
get an iolite vaporizer. you'd be able to puff away and they'd never be able to figure where that sweet aroma was coming from, if they noticed at all...
be careful people were taken away outside
Hey Hey! Enjoy the show tonight, peeps.
they r assholes
Just seen undercovers on 5th ave and 51st bust some dudes
this place is hot
Undercover wearing gray northface jacket and knit cap, other one wearing Philly eagles cap, using a gray van parked on 51st
Last nights show is up on archive

Friends don't let friends get hosed like this...
On 365 if you don't want to join and get the VIP pop-up... Just hit refresh a few times or log in and log out until you get the stream.
It's all about marketing for new customers and they're doing what they need to do, to keep the revenue flowing and stay alive.
Joe (Yellowsky), here is a link to all the shows that are available from this tour bookmarked under my account which you can easily accesses: (no password needed)
http://www.archive.org/bookmarks/GratefulDred
From there you can search easily yourself.
oh, dont get me wrong. i got in for free anyway, just keep refreshing. ;)
So how does one refresh a pop-up window?
better sound on archive though
This is weird wild reading
before show anticipation begins
during show theres alot of drool
after show alot of mixed reviews
then arguing about the good and bad parts
then later the last word competition ensues
all without looking into anybodys eyes
priceless!
Hope no-one has their finger on the bomb -unless it's phil of coarse!
close the popup, refresh the main window and hit play, repeat...
Just finished listening to first set - no fee

NY always did, being from there, I was always going sometimes over 7 nights in a row. Now in CA and hardly anything. COULD NOT GET IN TO MILL VALLEY NO MATTER WHAT.

best set 2 so far
Morning Dew
Not realy into the Dylan covers evry time but Its all over now baby blue would be a killer encore
.....Strike another match, go start a new. And It's all over now baby blue.
Think JK could pull it off?
Ha! Dew...sing on brothers and sisters!
CCB,
I'm not sure if you've seen Dark Star Orchestra with John... but can pull off ANYTHING in the GD area of music... if anything he has been holding back in Furthur.. with each show he is seems to be getting more comfortable. I'm sure he went all out on this Dew.. I cannot wait to listen.
DEW DEW DEW, walk me out
heard him do it with DSO !! of course he can !!
Actually I think a Phil and Friends thang at the warfield brought out Day Job or was it us blues? I've seen some amazing DJ's to close the first set...
Man, this 1st set is smokin' Nice Brown Eyed Women. Can't wait for BGCA in two weeks!
OK NOW THIS IS THE FIRST SHOE BESIDES PATRIOT CTR THAT I WISH I WAS AT.
LOOKS MIGHTY TASTY.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAH NWO SSHSHSHSUSHI AND COMET O PAPA.9~
it looks like a Planetarium in there... they need to keep these types of backdrops..
monkey and the engineer?????
I have to admit I avoid Dead cover bands. I have been impressed with JK. He seems to respect the part. Brave man to step on stage with the boys.

great set list, woo hooo
bout time for the other one....
man if you avoided DSO with jk you missed out !!
wow the light show looks alot nicer than just last week. Maybe a Sugar Magnolia closer?
DSO is more than what you'd think when you hear "dead cover band"...
even know that JK is gone they are still stronger than ever with Jeff Mattson... nothing will break them. I highly recommend you all see them.
In fact, Phil heard of JK specifically because of how good DSO is... Bobby has played him them but Phil was never into it... then he realized how insanely good they were.
after seeing John for a few times you realize he isn't just simply copying Garcia, he can truly channel that same kind of energy and emotion which is essential for this music. I am not trying to compare, that be ridiculous. Just saying he has his own voice.
bout time for the other one...Couldn't agree more.

Man this set is super sweet . I can't wait for more tour dates to b announced so i know what to blow off to go ON TOUR!!
If only they'd let JK sing Brokedown... I can understand if that is sacred territory though..
Maybe it will be posted for breakfast tomorrow? That second set looks sweet.Bird Song into St. Stephen and then another Morning Dew,wow, although I was hoping they might play it Friday. I am thinking Stella Blue now
See you all at the Mohegan Tribal Nation

Phil sang Birdsong tonight
Mr MoJo Risen!!!
you got to keep on riddin!!
phil birdsong good too...
Bob does a great Brokedown. Highlight of the '93 tour was their acoustic version with BW on vocals.
Phil sang a very powerful Bird Song in New Hampshire...
I had no idea Bob sang a Brokedown with the Grateful Dead... I'd love to hear that.
WAKE-N-BAKE TOMMAROW AT 8 AT THE FRONT GATE
DON'T B LATE ITS GOING TO B GREAT
nite all--dogs in a pile.....
As to not offend anybody with my shitting mustard comments....
Gee this sounds as though this incarnation of what is left of the Grateful Dead; The band that changed my life, is playing rather well and keeping the Faithful happy. Thanks Boys.
I hope I didn't get anybody's panty's in a bunch. They do very well as a band don't they?
ah,,, they finally finished playin,,, from the other night, safe ride home folks,,, can you say DREAM SET!!!! wow!
Please don't dominate the rap Jack
if you got nothing new to say
If you please don't back up the track
This train got to run today
Spent a little time on the mountain
Spent a little time on the hill
Heard some say better run away
Others say you better stand still
Now I don't know but I been told
it's hard to run with the weight of gold
Other hand I heard it said
it's just as hard with the weight of lead
Who can deny? Who can deny?
it's not just a change in style
One step done and another begun
in I wonder how many miles?
Spent a little time on the mountain
Spent a little time on the hill
Things went down we don't understand
but I think in time we will
Now I don't know but I been told
in the heat of the sun a man died of cold
Do we keep on coming or stand and wait
with the sun so dark and the hour so late?
You can't overlook the lack Jack
of any other highway to ride
It's got no signs or dividing lines
and very few rules to guide
Spent a little time on the mountain
Spent a little time on the hill
I saw things getting out of hand
I guess they always will
I don't know but I been told
if the horse don't pull you got to carry the load
I don't know whose back's that strong
Maybe find out before too long
One way or another
One way or another
One way or another
this darkness got to give
One way or another
One way or another
One way or another
this darkness got to give
Think anout it...........
Thank again Taper Rob, you're the best. Made our group thrill tonite.
..And we bid you all goodnite!
Just got back. Fucking unbelievable second set. Whole show was on, but that second set was one for the ages. Unreal scenes of joy at the end of Dew. Incredible. Words fail.
^Agreed, can't wait to re-listen. Show was played as well as the setlist looks. I can't imagine anyone being disappointed by that performance.
The highlights were the entire second set, no joke. I really dug the laid back Eyes, had a cool majestic feel to it. John's phrasing on his extended solo was phenomenal.
Mind blown.
I'm a newbie on the zone. Tonight was one of the greatest concert experiences of my life. Tonights show was epic. The most classic, old school, first set of the tour. Second set never let up from start to finish. Scarlet>Fire maybe the best in my life. Thanks Steve (my godfather) and all the tapers for sharing the love. We all appreciate your efforts. See you all in AC!
Wow
Just
Wow.
The goods hath been delivered
The Dew was FUCKING SICK!!!!! The lights were off the hook, too. Only in for set 2 but what a set!
I agree. Tonight was the shit! Fun and flowing with good vibes and amazing tunes. Scarlet>Fire was a phatty tonight. Whole second set was amazing. First set was also great with no real slow tunes to be found anywhere in the show except for Bird Song but even that isn't as slow as it could get. Amazing show and great company! I'm glowing right now. Thanks for tonight.
set 2 cued up and ready to play after the current 1st set finishes
www.live365.com/stations/2012_live
Now that, to me, finally.......was what I would call furthur. Wow!! Just a beautiful experience tonight . I love you phill and bob!
wow those photos look great! Very cool lighting!! damn I wish I was there tonight
Thanks taperrob!!
Light show waS UNBELIEVABLE...BETTER THAN i HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE!!!nEW EQUIPMENT!
Just got back. That was one for the ages. A truly fine, psychedelic, deep, meaningful, Grateful Dead show from note one on. I'M STUNNED
The whole first set was BEAUTIFUL, enticing, and rapturous. The second set was aggressive, muscular, powerful. WHEW!!
The entire place was standing for the whole show. No kidding, well maybe a couple of minutes of Birdsong they sat down, but mostly standing. A GREAT crowd, a MONSTER DOOM FEST of a show.
My apologies for lack of detail. Get the CD of set one and enjoy!!
Truth be told, I was a wee bit concerned the boys had shot their wad last night...me of little faith.
They slew me tonight! No, it wasn't perfect, but II was a MONSTER! The lights were phenomenal. They had all the lights under the multiple louvers of Radio City linked into the light show. So, during the white hot Scarlet>Fire, for example, they were making all these neat patterns with the house lights. I'm sure the tapes won't do it justice. Hope there's some decent videos.
Set I:
Jam >
Truckin' I called it. Other than that, it's kind of wierd. I remember really enjoying Set I while it was happening, but I guess my memories of the start of the set are being overshadowed now by the magnitude of what I experienced in II.
Dire Wolf
Mama Tried
Althea
Brown Eyed Women Great. I thought they would opt for the Ramble on Rose with the easy New York tie in, but we got BEW (which I mightily prefer) instead. Again, it was great.
Til The Morning Comes It was a surprise to me and very high energy.
The Music Never Stopped >
Touch Of Grey A little verse troubles marred what was still a pretty damn hot set closer.
Set II:
Uncle John's Band > Terrific. Flowed smoothly and effortlesly and was just happy to be UJB.
Scarlet Begonias > Top notch, in sync playing from everyone for the S>F. Great sound. Volcano and flame videos and the aforementioned undulating house lights....
Fire On The Mountain
Birdsong > Up to this point in set II was heaven on earth. Absolute bliss for me. I thought the Bird Song was really great and I found it very moving.
St. Stephen > started hot but went off the tracks somehow. I thought they made a decent recovery, though. I at first thought they were going to abort and go right into The Eleven, or something like that, but they found a way back in to finish the song. Not sure how "off" it will sound on the recording, but the "whatever" in St. Stephen was noticeable by comparison to how in sync they were in the set up to that point. Really truly, beautifully, flying on all cylinders together.
Born-Cross Eyed > fine
Eyes Of The World > terrific Chimenti all over the place. Had some really nice sections. Had a few moments were things weren't exactly perfect, but they worked patiently together until they found the groove and the struggles just made it sweeter. You probably won't even be able to notice anything I'm talking about on the recording. Some of this was at the vibe level and I'm not sure how much will be audible.
Morning Dew > HEAVEN! Not the longest, but they built and hit the peak beautifully and took the crowd with them all the way:-)
Playing In The Band (reprise) neat
Encore: Donor Rap
Brokedown Palace Nice work by the back up singers. Yeah, John would be better on the vocals. Not really a complaint though. Bobby was just fine.
Well, there's no band I'd rather drive through a blizzard to see, so I guess I'll be seeing you at Mohegan Sun. Hopefully the roads will be clear by then from the 1+ foot they are predicting to hit the area tomorrow.
Lisa & Ray & Cassandra (right?), it was great seeing you again and sharing the train ride. See you in AC. Maybe we can have dinner with my wife or something?
looks awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Truth be told, I was a wee bit concerned the boys had shot their wad last night...me of little faith.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ ^^
Get real! In spite of what to the uninformed would look like a killer setlist, Tuesday was pretty mediocre. There wasn't and "oh wow" moment the entire night. It was professional, but uninspiring, for the most part. Of at least a dozen people who I spoke with and went both nights, only one really thought much of Tuesday.
Last night? A totally different story! They were on it from the start and they never let up. Last night was why - if you can manage it - you never miss a show. What a barn burner beginning to end. "Oh wow" moments were in abundance and there were probably at least 5 or 6 before the first set ended. Don't take my word for it, just listen to both nights. Or, having drinks afterwards with one of the band members, the confession was Tuesday was one of the poorest shows - maybe even the worst - of the tour so far and last night was among the best.
I want to say to my sisters and my brothers,
Keep the faith.
And gooooooooo Furthur!
New kid trying to post a picture. How does one do that?
Finally our brothers and sisters in NYC get blown away
More reviews please. Tomorrow is gonna be amazing folks and I am hoping for that KILLER Stella Blue
now this was a great show!!
It was great, a minute into althea you see phil say come on turn the kid(john) up. They did and boy for the rest of the show we were treated to a great night of music.
It was great to hear bob sing tunes with passion and actually sing them and not say them like a poet. Bob also chilled out and let john take control of certain moments, as phil lead the band.
That 2nd set was off the hook. Smooth transitions and great break downs. They would build a jam and then boom bring down real quiet.
The only complaint, becasue i have to have one, was that phil sang eyes. But thank god john sang morning dew!
Ummmm....Atlantic city re-release!?
I am so hoping for some big guns at AC. I am loving the stream of this show. Lehigh and Delaware were nice and mellow, intimate, but I need some decadence and city folk!
What a redemption for Tuesday night. Now that was the band I was expecting to see. Way to bring the heat boys !
The second set was one of the best live post-JG Dead experiences of my life in 50-60 shows......
Shalom Stellajew. Now that's a funny name.
Thanks for keeping us in the loop on the setlists and reviews. Can't wait till Chi-Town Dark Star!!
ok here we go...if anybody wants to go look at my review from tuesday all it read was good show................... tonight st.stepen >11...morning dew ...brokedown....fucking a .........i agree one for the ages....i had my ticket stub from 10-22-80 in my pocket..............sat in the orchestra pit ccc......wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwoooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww......it doesnt get any better than the 2nd set....dripping wet dew...jon even pulled out the swagger and did the frill ending............off the hook...my only complaint is the beer couldnt be any farther away from the front row....out of control is really the only way to describe the second set...as a matter of fact really the only song that got caught in transition was st stephen.....i cried during brokedown palace even with bob singing it....ive always said from day one "brokedown is always the best way to leave a show".....seen it 60x and as far as im concerned they can play it everynight
I was looking for the list of top shows from this tour?
What you got?
Last night was the reason I keep going to shows. Everything was ON - song selection, show pace, PERFORMANCE! My faith has been restored
Next stop AC.
I'm a little less enthusiastic about last night. I enjoyed Tuesday's second set more.
That being said, first set was tight. Highlight for me (and perhaps the whole show) was 'Til The Morning Comes -- a really nice sounding clean version, a bit of a time travel. They all sounded like they were 35 years old. Seemingly effortless.
Truckin's opener was energetic, not monstrous but solid, Dire Wolf was fun as always. Mama Tried was okay and then from Althea til the end of the set was very strong. Good groove on Althea. JK's guitar work on all was top notch, especially Music Never Stopped. Personally, I liked first set Wed better than Tue.
I don't know what happened to my enjoyment of the second set but it just wasn't there all the way through. I had great seats (15 rows back dead center) and was in a good mood just never got into it too much. UJB was nice but nothing special in my opinion. I have to say Scarlet>Fire was a bit of a let down. Maybe my expectations were too high but something just wasn't right for me, never seemed to click, seemed to be struggling to find a natural groove. They got through it and ended on a high note but...
At this point I was hoping for a Crazy Fingers or something I hadn't heard in a while to get me dialed in but the next three songs lacked. Bird Song I love but just seems to be a bit of an energy sapper in the middle of the second set. St. Stephen tried to regain the rock groove but it was too little too late and then Bob launched into Born Cross-Eyed and it just wasn't there for me. Sorry.
Eyes thankfully brought the energy back and sounded really good. It and provided my best moments of the set.
What can you say about Morning Dew, it's become an epic especially post Jerry. Now has more meaning it seems then it did when the fat man was still with us. This version brought some muscle and heat and JK sang it with respect and skill. A winner for sure.
Was a fun little thing they did bringing the two nights full circle by coming back to Playin' In The Band. Sounded good, flowed.
Was really hoping for Brokedown Palace. Love Bob's version, I think it's his best most natural Hunter/Garcia work. Great way to end two fun nights of music.
I hate to be negative but there were times in the second set where I just felt like they were struggling. No train wrecks or anything but some significant portions seemed off-kilter. I prefer the shows where everything flows effortlessly, even if the jams aren't huge. I know that kind of goes against the nature of the GD and this kind of music but I felt Tuesday's second set had that and Wednesday lacked it in some key places.
Hey Keith! Gald you enjoyed it. See you again soon.
I was there!
They brought it again last night!
Even better than tues. night.
Second set was amazing! I was surprised that they played Scarlet into Fire (just because these guys don't seem to play the normal order of certain dead-song pairings). The Fire was dripping! The video wall was a nice addition on this.
Morning Dew!!! JK killed it big time!~!
>>I was surprised that they played Scarlet into Fire
They just played Scarlet>Fire in Manchester less than a week ago in that same order, so it's not that surprising. I'm glad they did it again that way - I like Scarlet>Fire played in that order.
I've been to 6 Furthur shows so far and thought last night was the best I've seen, perhaps closely followed by the NYE show at the Graham. Phil fucking owned that shit at Radio City. Owned it. The sound by the Sound Board was superb.
I can imagine what this band will be capable of when they hit the sheds under warm summer skies. Watch out.
DISAGREE...THOUGHT Tuesday's show was best yet on Further! Agreed last nights was amazing but not as good as evening before...which was more explosive and dramatic...particularly with song selection and surprises. All the 40 or so people I hung out with with in the lobby(naked lady) agreed...
Did not know they did the Scarlet-Fire in Mancheter.
The way it should be!!
If you are on this board because you loved the Grateful Dead.. And I suppose that's everyone.
then this is the best its been since the early 9o's..
Lets face it JK channels JG in so many ways..
His playing (both in tone and in the way he attacks the notes) and even his voice.
While he will never have Jerry's majestic charisma (nothings gonna bring him back) ... He makes up for in his consistent playing.
I was at both Radio City shows. I thought they were both incredible. I've also downloaded the whole tour and have enjoyed it immensly..
I like Rat Dog. I like the various Phil line ups. I like the Dead w Warren. I love this band.
I love that songs are no longer automatically slotted like in the GD.. Among my friends, we complained non-stop about how predictable song placement was in the Grateful Dead.
I love the elimination of Drums and Space.
I am amazed at Phil and Bobs stamina.. Phil you blow my mind.
So what now separates a great show from a really good show with great moments is really song selection..Thus, for me the second set last night was about as good as it gets.
Otherwise, my show experience is enhanced by a great venue.. (ie Radio City was a pleasure in so many ways)and a great seat.(I'm 50.. I want a seat! not a G.A. show),
It is a joy to be still loving this 35 years after my first show.
Peace
Brown Eyed Woman...how can you disagree with my perception of the shows I've seen? Review your own experience. And unless you've seen every Further show east and west (perhaps you have) then The Best is a relative term.
I'll listen to Tuesday on the plane today though...heard it was also great.
Last night was one of those magical moments where you feel lucky to be in the building experiencing the beautiful music these guys are capable of creating. It was one of those nights where every element fell into place perfectly.
We were last row in the third mezz, top of the world, and the whole place was buzzing with positive energy. The sound was great in there. First set was upbeat the whole way through. Till the Morning Comes was particularly jammed out, with the outro leading to a cool extended jam.
The second set was IT! Scarlet>Fire was huge with a midi flute guitar giving it a bit of a tropical rain forest vibe. Morning Dew was even more over the top than Barton Hall. Phil had some of his best vocals on the Eyes last night. St. Stepehen>Born Cross Eyed worked really nicely and was also unexpected. No Eleven, guess they're saving it for CT. Playin Reprise was a nice way to tie the two shows together.
Great song selection, great crowd, amazing visuals(never saw lights that good at a dead show, and the screen in the back added a whole other dimension), inspired playing, awesome transition jams, surprising twists and turns, and a Brokedown encore to send us home as we listen to the river sing sweet songs, to rock our soul! Last night's show was a dream come true. Thank you for a real good time.
I am going to print bumper stickers and make shirts for summer tour:
"It's OK to love JK"
trademark pending ;^)
really, it's OK . . .
Last night was a monster---simply no other way to describe it.
Can you seriously believe Mr. Lesh is pushing 70? Didn't seem that way last night.
Looks like an awesome setlist, for sure. Would've loved to be back in my ol' hometown for that one, at a venue I've never been to.
Still haven't listened to anything from the tour, but it'll be available when I'm ready (generally don't listen to many shows I don't personally attend - at least these days).
Figured they'd deliver at Radio City.
a show is great, good, ok, and sometimes not so great. but that has to do with first your mood!!(good . bad . happy? pissed at your dog ? )
Second where did you see it from (sounds change around the venue. front row side stage behind stage . on ground drunk . or even outside ??) . Third who did you see it with . (negitive friend or positive friend ).fourth .. are you on something. (or even sober ) last but well last The bands performance. all these variables decide weather you had a good time or not . A great band night can b ruined by bad other factors .
a really bad show can b great also with great other factors like free tix or front row with a quiet hot date who loves music perfactly buzzed with the option of becoming more buzzed. And great lights .All that can fix a bad show .
best thing to do is ENJOY YOUR exisitance!!!
especially at a grateful dead show!
oh and don't b that negitive friend!
SUMMER TOUR IS ON!!!
Summer tour would be cool
I can't wait to see .
Im bursting with anticipation !!
hey mstrapasso - what a prophetic post, thanks for the insight. i believe in all u say but as we know it's easier said than done! javadawg
I'm a little less enthusiastic about last night. I enjoyed Tuesday's second set more.
>>>>
i was at both, i agree, tues was magic, so was last night, i jsut liked the setlist better tues.....but again to each his own
its up on lma already sounds eff n GREAT!!thanks all you kind veggie burritto's,, you just cant imagine how great it is to be following this tour from france,,,er uh except for the time zone thingie... my wife keeps raggin,,, wtf are you doing on that computer.... everywhere you go the people all know....http://www.archive.org/details/furthur2010-02-24.n eumann-km184.damico.106292.flac16 ENJOY!TG
last night was simply magical and thats all there is to say...it is sooooooooooooooo obvious that jon is pumping new blood into everyone else and it is showing in their playing and enthusiasm...like ive said before a band is like a basketball team...basically 5 guys trying to work together.....last night further would have crushed lebron and rest of the nba allstars by 30 points...they made it look easy
What Chopper5star said!
listening to the DEW now... sounds beautiful...
but...
something that I cannot comprehend is...
HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE TALKING!!! seriously, how can you chat away like that during what is happening right before you!?!?!?!
it is beyond me... its like... either talk about whatever or transcend into a state of pure natural fulfillment! I guess some people treat it like background music, maybe it was just a clustered by spot by the taper..
40 or so people I hung out with with in the lobby(naked lady) agreed...

????????????????
Wow!
Sorry, but this will sound harsh, which is why i am apologizing in advance. I just don't know how to express my degree of disagreement here in any other manner.
After what you wrote, I'd never trust your opinion on the quality of any show, ever (and those 40 people must all be newbies or utter dolts). No comparison between Tuesday - professional, but uninspired, ordinary, nothing to write home (or the Zone) about, pedestrian, had no zip, nada, a zero (except the setlist looked impressive) and Wednesday - the reason this band has quickly become the best example of post-Jerry amalgamations; it was just a stunning show from beginning to end (I liked it as much as the 2nd night at Asbury).
Again, many apologies, but you have no clue.
Talking during Dew should be punishable by death.
...and having that big screen behind them (RCMH's screen, I believe, not something going on this tour, except at RCMH) and how it was used both nights was a real bonus...the volcano with lava dripping from the heavens was pretty cool....
Here Here
The talkers are the complainers too !
The light show changed during the tour ! are they rented and run from different companys??i saw no candice????? I bet summer tour will have all thats missing from the setup from this tour !
not that this tour was not up to par !!
The lights that is.
didnt see RCMH THE PICS OF LIGHTS THERE WERE SWEET!
OK, now that we all know Wednesday killed Tuesday, here are some photos for those who couldn't be there or those who were and need a flashback...you can also play name that tune from looking at what is on the screen behind them...

nice pics!
Thank You!
>>Again, many apologies, but you have no clue.
You have no class.
Huh? I said it with MANY apologies.
Maybe you would have preferred a "STFU you brainless asshole, as you so obvioulsy have no clue and should immediately delist yourself from the Zone so I never have to read your babbling BS ever again". You must know this is what I was actually thinking, but went with just a bit more diplomacy, which was also obvioulsy lost on you.
...and of course you were one of the very few that shared that tin ear with BEW (you two must be married or dating and if not should be) and actually could find fault with Wednesday and laud over Tuesday; yes it pained me to read your review (and resisted commenting on it until that next one came along from BEW about the "40 people" - 2 bodies sharing a single mind....get a room
...and of course, it goes without saying, but we all need reminding, opinions are like assholes....some are just bigger than others; read that anyway you like, as it probably works as good for you, as it does for me.......have a sparkling day!
Nice pix Blackie!
Thanks Mark >>>>>>BTW, did I forget to tell you that the Sucks will be sniffing Yankie hind quarters all season long and not get past them in the playoffs?
Awesome pics. The visuals during Fire were off the charts. They also had something that looked (to my brain, anyways) like molten rain drops.
I have had a full day of a blizzard in Manhattan to think about this show and it just has to be in my top 5 ever dead related (post Jerry) experiences, potentially even eclipsing my previous fave post jerry of 11/10/07 PF at Nokia. I love Bob and Phil and the whole dead scene and this show was the essence of what great dead music was is to me somy ears were very happy and the scene at RCMH was more mellow that expected and I had great 2nd balacony seats.
Scarlet>Fire was my highlight. Stephen was unique with a jam in the middle, which was totally out of 'nowhere' a non sequitor in the jam if you will. Great Touch at end of first set. The second set alone justified ticket expense and 9 dollar beers. Very impressive DEW. Enjoyable and romping show yet the crowd was stable and not freaking out...good stuff all around in this musical masterpeice. I was very impressed with the lights during scarlet >fire; the volcanic red eruption and droplets of lava pouring in the background wiht a thick base line was totally a early 80's meltdown style scarlet>fire in my opinion. Stephen was in keeping with sort of the early 80's stephens not the late 60's stephen which Phil tends to do. Great show and great band, dare I say, heart of gold band?
Great show. Check out my vids from the orchestra pit here http://www.youtube.com/dayjob1978
molten rain drops
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
I thought it was a volcano pictured on the screen and that was supposed to be lava raining down.
Now; this is what we've all been looking for right? Much of it has been along for the ride, some of us just may have refused to feel it coming. For we know its all in there, ya just gotta let it all in. Happy to hear and see the happy...happy.
"Who can deny? Who can deny?
it's not just a change in style
One step done and another begun
in I wonder how many miles?"
Gee, are we blessed or what?
Question? Who is thanking their Power when they walk trough them turnstyles; who is sayin "Dam its still happening.?".....I am
Peace
Folks, we see it, hear it, its good. No it GREAT - Jaw dropping. When have you seen a show like thi before? This is what we strived for. Funny thing is; they knew....just listen, or read, and please remain open.
Please don't dominate the rap Jack
if you got nothing new to say
If you please don't back up the track
This train got to run today
Spent a little time on the mountain
Spent a little time on the hill
Heard some say better run away
Others say you better stand still
Now I don't know but I been told
it's hard to run with the weight of gold
Other hand I heard it said
it's just as hard with the weight of lead
Who can deny? Who can deny?
it's not just a change in style
One step done and another begun
in I wonder how many miles?
Spent a little time on the mountain
Spent a little time on the hill
Things went down we don't understand
but I think in time we will
Now I don't know but I been told
in the heat of the sun a man died of cold
Do we keep on coming or stand and wait
with the sun so dark and the hour so late?
You can't overlook the lack Jack
of any other highway to ride
It's got no signs or dividing lines
and very few rules to guide
Spent a little time on the mountain
Spent a little time on the hill
I saw things getting out of hand
I guess they always will
I don't know but I been told
if the horse don't pull you got to carry the load
I don't know whose back's that strong
Maybe find out before too long
One way or another
One way or another
One way or another
this darkness got to give
One way or another
One way or another
One way or another
this darkness got to give
>>Huh? I said it with MANY apologies.
Okay, but maybe "no class" is too harsh but how can you call somebody clueless over an opinion? Anyway, yeah I am one of the few who preferred the second set Tuesday (though I preferred the first set Wednesday). Maybe my buzz wore off, maybe I am clueless. But I thought The Viola Lee Blues from Tuesday smoked everything in the second set Wednesday including Morning Dew. Just my clueless opinion.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Not a problem; you just probably had a better buzz on Tuesday. That is about the only explanation - that and the fact that at least you know you're clueness. :-)
I know the second night of Chicago and Colorado were great, but I like this one for the show of the tour
