Come on Sless
I don’t think I could do justice in describing what a good time this was. We co-hosted a buffet on the Sweetwater porch with some friends before the rehearsal for everyone in line waiting to get in and it turned into quite a “pre-rehearsal party.” The energy was electric all night. On the way in, Michelle told me I am not allowed to use the word “epic” anymore, but then after the rehearsal she said, “that was epic!” It was a great treat to have Teresa Williams on for the entire set and her vocal prowess on “Dancin’ In The Streets,” the first time played “How Sweet It Is,” and the “And We Bid You Goodnight,” were warmly received and greatly enjoyed. Fun to have her sharing a mic with Jackie during “How Sweet It Is,” and funny as heck to watch Jackie flub the Ryan Adams tune “Magnolia Mountain,” giggling uncontrollably to the point where he had to turn his back and just let it go! Every song was played with passion and energy, the “Bertha” was a rager, as was the encore of GDTFRB > AWBYGN. Buckle up, it is tour time once again…
hey rob, was that you wearing the Harpur '70 shirt?
yes sir
Harpur? As in College?
I went to what was SUNY-B when I started (BU when I got done) for grad school '90-92.
Right on! I went to SUNY-B from 1984 - 1989, they now call it Binghamton University, but thanks to the monumental 5-2-70 Dead show, it will always be Harpur College!
It's true, I've never met a SUNY-B alumnus who didn't still refer to the place as Harpur. I always felt I got there 20 years too late.
