any stream tonight?
I don't care about setlist, crowd, atmosphere, or Shakedown Street.
All I care about is
WHAT IS BOBBY WEARING TONIGHT?
Not that I am aware of
Bobby wearing Yoga panties, what else?!
or beachcombers..looks like he's ready to go pick up tar balls

If I'm not mistaken that is the first Stones of this tour. Weird placement. I find Bobby's appearance and choice of clothing very bizarre. Back in the day he was so much more put together. Kinda like he just rolls in every day in his PJ's and rocks out. Who cares as long as he keeps bringing it!! Hope everyone is enjoying the show....
They did a Stones on Saturday at Coney, I believe.
^^^^^they did one in the first set at Coney Island 1st night.

How tough a ticket was it? Did everyone get in?

Is this supposed to be like a mid-tour "stealth rehearsal?"
Colors of the Rain is great, much room to expand. Place is PACKED and sweaty. Lots of people in the outside area mulling around. Blazing hot inside.

Hey Bob. You down for red rocks?
Just got home -- venue was great -- staff was super nice and scene inside and out was great -- great show -- other than the fact it was 150 degrees inside the venue -- this was a first class venue and show -- especially coming off the amateur hour at Herkimer (three hours of traffic, 10 bucks to park and the venue selling RC Cola cans at the concession stand) -- I really appreciated the kind folks at the Sherman!
Thank You FrtHR.......Smokin show
"Home...home again...I like to be here when I can........................"
The hottest show I was ever at.Had to be 110/120 in there. But the band equalled it.The 11th show I've seen of this band and best so far.Hope Jerry's Smiling watching this, because I sure am.Thank you Phil/Jill ,Bobby and all.Heard all bad reviews of Time-then this had to be the best yet-they fucking NAILED it.Now home to the Mann-See ya Saturday.Peace.
Scarlet > Shakedown was a mistake I made on the Columbus list when I was posting it, when I realized it was wrong I was thinking hey.....that would be a good combo, I'm thinking someone was thinking the same.
Man, Very Phine...
Show was as smokin, as it was hot in there.
I cant remember a show that was that hot (temp) but we had a blast and the boys rocked the house.
Thanks.
It was so hot in there it reminded me of the Tower Theatre run in 1976. Same conditions.....hot....hot....hot....but lots of fun....loved the placement of the songs and also a thumbs up to the bartenders last night for those tall patron margaritas at $5.50.......wahooooooooooooo.............
Hottest show temp wise for me was 5/7/79, Allan Kirby Field House at Lafayette College. They actually let us go outside during the break, basically a Quonset hut that turned into an oven. I was at those '76 Tower shows, but the solo acoustic Garcia shows there in the early 80's were much worse to my memory, people crowding around the open fire exits during the break trying to catch a breeze.
Wow! You lucky fans got one heck of a show! Hottest show ever? Jerry Garcia Band @ Goodskates Roller Rink, 8-14-84 in Seatauket, Long Island. The walls were dripping with condensation. We were melting and the band was the best I ever saw them! Run for the Roses was of the hook! Furthur can't be beat!
I went last night. Lots of fun. Maybe the band kept the set list rockin, because they knew we would've faded in the heat otherwise...either way I am happy. Fun night.
thanks for the reviews and setlist info!!

ok...I have now drank water for 8 hrs after this show....if anyone remembers PLQ at Scranton Cultral ctr about 05/06 it was that HOT...unreal...had 2 beers b4 the shows and 6 bottles of water during the show.....people dropping like flies.....
The show: UNREAL...maybe one of the tightest versions I've seen since Jerry....audience was STUNNED- not alot of huge reaction...I think everyone was blown out by the heat- just couldn't get the crowd to all rally at the same time....
That said, the set list speaks for itself...Scarlet>Shake was great...candyman was sweet..playing...eleven in 1st set was sweet...playing>stones was solid...
China Doll was at it's bittersweet best..FIRE was HUUUUUUUUUUUUUge and the othert one was the pinnacle...phil B- BOMBSSSSSSSSSSSSS time breath was nice..and Death don't, which is not big on my list- was GREAT- boby went nuts at the end..Unbrokin Jammed and china rider had people passing out left n right from heat...BOX was one of the best I've ever seen as far as tight and sounding really solid.
BTW: Joe Russo on drums is the shit- holy cow is this guy unbelievable- Molo you got some huge competition- unbelieveable!!!! he keeps the "bottom" and didn't misfire once- incredible!
PS- To clarify....the lack of crowd reaction makes it somewhat of a sleeper show.....maybe not the best moments since jerry but as a whole I thought they let things go and it was super solid. Bobby doesn't seem to be "steering" everything as much on this tour....they seem REAl comfortable together and enjoying themselves!
OMG THIS WAS THE HOTTEST SHOW EVER!!! THE TEMP INSIDE THE PLACE WAS OUT OF CONTROL. WENT BACK TO THE HOTEL DURING BREAK TO TAKE A COLD SHOWER, THANKS GOD FOR THAT OR I WOULD NOT HAVE GONE BACK TO THE BAKE OVEN!!! HIGHLIGHTS FOR ME THE ELEVEN, TIME AND THE END OF RIDER JOHN RIPPED IT!!! OVERALL HAD A HOOT!!!

Nice pics, thanks... a really solid show, some unexpected highlights, Candyman, the singers on Time, Bobby's emotion on Death Don't, and Phil's new song has potential. The venue folks worked really hard and pulled it off. Good idea with the wrist bands, everyone could go outside to cool off or stand by the door. (Most hot temp show in memory since PLQ Scranton 2002 and JGB Middletown 1984.) In the end, looks like most of the beggars/ticketless ended up getting in, or just stood by the open doors to listen, so it didn't matter. Town made a ton of dough and everyone was happy and kept their cool. What the hell were those dum-dums in Vermont thinking anyway?...
It was HOT in there - but the boys made up for it by completely blowing the roof off the place!
Killer first set.... Lots of flubs in the 2nd set, but some solid playing..... The Time was well played but Phil butchered the lyrics something awful. That rider had some serious energy for sure.
As someone who has said goodbye to some very close people this past year, can't tell you how great it is to have "Death don't have no mercy", "Time", "China Doll" and finally the "rider" in the same set ... The sun's gonna shine in my back door someday... Thanks
thanks for the updates and reviews
Sitting here, right now in Shelburne, VT. Drove by the venue and I can plainly state, Rte 7, a two lane road into the venue would have been a major cluster fuck. I much preferred seeing the show in Stroudsburg than here in the Burlington suburbs.
Pictures included in this link: http://shakedownblog.com/?p=748
Although Vermont pulled out of the opportunity to host Grateful Dead members Bob Weir and Phil Lesh’s new project, Pennsylvania kindly accepted the offer to take it Furthur on July 5, 2010. Other than rehearsal shows in California, the Sherman Theater is the smallest venue Furthur has played. It felt as though it was 100 degrees in the theater, and it may have well been, but that did not stop the jam-packed show from exceeding expectations.
From the first song of the evening, one could safely assume the band was locked in tightly, and well rehearsed. “Scarlet Begonias” sent off the introduction to an unbelievable night of music in the right direction. A deep jam towards the end evolved into a funky “Shakedown Street,” where Bob Weir came through with intriguing rhythm guitar. John Kadlecik laid down astounding guitar work, and Jeff Pehrson and Sunshine Becker Garcia shined with gorgeous backup voals. The last segue flowed into a slow tempo and abruptly stopped as Bob Weir signaled for “The Promised Land.” After fumbling the lyrics, Weir humbly and with humor acknowledged the error. However, Weir’s strong vocals overshadowed what could be embarrassment.
John Kadlecik rightfully approached “Candy Man”, where his vocals were highlighted throughout. “Playin’ In The Band” rose above the previous jams, with all around merited playing. “The Eleven” was a first set highlight since John Kadlecik and Phil Lesh’s channeling and building off of each other. Confusing the crowd with a new Lesh tune, “Colors of the Rain” played for only the second time ever. For being a new song in the repertoire, the improvisation portion lifted off fairly well. This segued back into the end of “Playing in the Band,” then followed by another highlight, “Throwing Stones.” Weir let his freak flag fly, toward the end chanting the words “we are on our own,” adding variety to it every time he repeated the phrase. Weir seems to own this tune with the vision to outshine all other versions every time. Joe Russo continued to fire throughout the show, and Lesh, comfortably with that in mind, picked away at his bass across all the frets. Ending set one, and the crowd gave it up for a face melting first set. From the heat, to the music through the speakers, everyone needed to cool off in some way, shape or form.
With the start of set two, “China Doll” caused a loud cheer because it is a favorable classic, as well as a rarity for this tour. When it pushed towards the chorus, the crowd chanted along with the band as they harmonized in a warm manner. Chimenti took the spot light for a bit, ripping it up on his keyboard. When “China Doll’s” jam came to an end, some loose noodling created an opening for Lesh and Russo to pick up the tempo; in addition Weir and Kadlecik teased out the beginning of “Fire on the Mountain” until the song actually took flight. Everyone contributed to a perfect groove, which segued into a Weir frenzy of “The Other One.” As soon as the bass intro began, the crowd erupted into a loud applause all the while watching the psychedelic masterpiece unfold in the form of a tight-knit jam. When the song came to a finish, the clocks and bongos started up for the beginning of Pink Floyd’s “Time”. The Sherman Theater was filled with the roar of Dead Heads until the song took off and continued throughout. To end the five song combination, “Death Don’t Have No Mercy” brought out the deep blues roots in the music of Furthur. Weir put a lot of effort into his singing, which was appropriately accompanied by his genuine instrumentation.
The mood accelerated even more with a 13 minute power filled bass heavy “Unbroken Chain,” where the moods of the song transitioned easily, and picked up intensity with every melodic switch. The last song break in the second set led to “The Music Never Stopped” which reintroduced a funk atmosphere, with a huge part of this tone being set by Weir’s sublime rhythm guitar. At the end of “The Music Never Stopped,” Weir went into a “Never stop, never stop now”, craze that was new for people that hadn’t seen him perform it with recent projects. This transitioned into a lively “China Cat Sunflower > I Know You Rider,” both appropriately humble, and energetic as usual.
When Phil Lesh came on for his donor rap, the crowd was on the verge of tearing down the building with the amazing amount of volume. And to end the night, “Box Of Rain” was well structured, and smooth.
This was certainly a great night of music, in an intimate venue, where the band didn’t lay low, but rather experimented with taking it Furthur.
Audio vine here, if you are a responsible participant. If not stay away.

The Sherman is a great little theater. I always enjoyed seeing the 'dog there. This was definitely my favorite show of the tour.
