The key to last night's success,imho WAS keeping jackie AWAY FROM THE ELECTRIC GUITAR!!!He is NOT a leader and should leave the REAL WORK to players that have the most chops; ie larry, or the deepest improv skills;barry sless to get the music where it should be. I thought Jackie handled himself quite respectably Friday night & I'd say he actually plays the Blues better than the other two. Barry is not really a blues player and Larry always is a little bit too restrained when it gets into the bluesy end of things.

It's not all about chops and improv after all.

In my opinion the key to a great show by this band is that they play as a band. The sound is balanced and they work as a team. Warren can dominate too much at times, but I love him, and whatever the lineup, I'll be there. Listening to Phil and his friends searching for the sound. Clearly this group of friends have found a great sound.

Besides, it's Puff's birthday. HE is the key to the show tonight!
