Phil was sitting in balcony with his son for the first set of the Govt. Mule show Saturday at The Fillmore in SF, then played beginning of second set with Govt. Mule playing Loser>Terrapin Jam>Loser, then stopped and they did Sugaree! He looked and sounded great and had his new bass, and when he went off he said "Give a big hand to Govt. Fucking Mule! Thanks for posting this ! Wow, this looks amazing !

I was there the night before (Thanks KFOG !) and that show blew me away !

The second set opener "War Pigs" was off the hook, and for the Mule to change paths to The Door's "Turn Out The Lights" was like being taken back in time and also mesmerizing. Out of all of the shows i've seen at the Fillmore, Fri was one of the best for sure ! It's up on etree and I highly recommend getting it.

I did take some pretty good video of War Pigs and tons of decent-good close-ups. I will try to post soon. If not email me your Facebook profile name or Flicker account info and I'd be glad to sh

There were two times Fri niht night (I was a just a bit inebriated) I could have sworn I saw Phil up there in the back balcony. But, I was by myself that night and thought maybe I was just seeing things.

Anyway, looks like the Mule put out two great nights at The Fillmore.

Can't wait for NYE and I know it will hopefully kick-ass ! And hopefully everyone will be kind , unlike 2005.

Peace !
Howie
