Wharf Rat
I had hopes of them getting Let it Grow out of the way last night.....
Here is to another LA monster for our only show!
Let it grow at Outside Lands was actually really well done, that being said i dont wanna hear it that much either just for the reason that i saw it at OL.
all i have 2 say is get ready for this band to blow ur minds....eugene was spectacular, santa barbara was off the charts & the locomotive is pickin up steam... so open ur heart, put on ur dancin shoes & get ready for a real good time! be back after the show with complimentary wordz i'm sure, peace amore
Still pumped up from Santa Barbara - now here in LA and counting the (few) hours till showtime...
WLA Fadeaway would be a nice touch - haven't seen that one live for quite some time. After tonight, have to give Vegas a miss (boo-hoo) but then onwards to Red Rocks!!! See ya all soon...
add Feel like a stranger to the list. Box of rain,

It's my opinion that up until Outside Lands last month this band had been searching for the right groove in the jams on Unbroken Chain, but they really melted it in the Park; I wonder how this one played.
Furthur has been tearing up Let It Grow however since they started a year ago.
I bet they were both good.
nice show!
Thanks Judit....will check tomorrow
wow, can't wait to hear it
Little sad to see Other One and Morning Dew in a setlist the day before my only show of tour but I hope it was player well for the LA people. Still some gems left for Vegas I hope.
Perhaps they'll break out the Blues for Allah at the Hard Rock (unfortunately, I won't be there). That would be an interesting combination, to say the least. I think a Terrapin Suite is definitely in order, as is a rockin' Stephen -> Eleven. I'm sure the show will be great, regardless.
This looks like a pretty damned nice setlist - I'm really surprised by the killer psychedelic looking setlists for the SoCal area, but then again...this band plays a lot of psychedelic music. Always love the pairing of Born Cross-Eyed and New Potato. Nice!
Hope you lucky ones had fun!
Box encore... It was sweetness all night folks! The band is sending out the LOVE!!!!!
Will leave a post after Rocks for the entire Western run! Peace and love!
this show was really great! cryptical through morning dew was furthur at the top of their game, and this was only the first time i've seen them! this one will stick with me for sure
was this only the 2nd "the mountain song" because it sounded excellent
Kick ass show. I thought the highlights were Alligator > Caution, Unbroken Chain, Morning Dew... Mountain Song is great, extended from the Eugene version. Even Muli Guli is opened up compared to the version I saw at Furthur Festival. It had a sweet jam at the end and really has potential. Mason's was a great set closer. Other One was great, not as fiery as Outside Lands perhaps, but the Unbroken that followed was much more fully explored than Outside Lands (which was a great version itself!) and was the best part of the whole show for me. It went on and on and on. I thought the only relative lowlights were Good Lovin, which this band just plays too slow (and Bob didn't have much of a rap in him tonight), and Let it Grow, which found the band struggling to keep it together in parts (but also had its moments).
So at least check out the Unbroken from this show!
>>> I wonder how this one (Unbroken Chain) played.
It was gorgeous.
(My favorite song of the night)
Dew was real nice too.
Eugene Mountain Song was stronger.
Good show, but 1st night Cuthbert was my personal favorite.
...So Far
Nice tour.
I have a distinct feeling that the Vegas show is going to shred (only indoor show).
Won't be there, but I'm looking forward to Red Rocks.
glad ya got this one bill.
WOW, that's a setlist I'd like to see, even if not played all that well.
1st time seeing furthur. have heard plenty but live is the only way to completely engage with it.
no complaints here.
incredible playing throughout. so many "wow!" moments. loved the 'anthem of the sun' theme throughout. dark star was poking his head out around every corner.
backing band is fantastic! the drummer was blowing my mind all night. adding the extra vocals does wonders for songs. super well rehearsed and completely on-point for the big changes.
110% the real deal! the magic was in house last night.
The show rocked - both sets on fire. Unfortunately some members of the audience were loud talkers, texties, etc, which was very distracting. The really bad part was the clusterf*** trying to get out of the parking area - directed one way, then turned around to go another way, back again....very poor management! Still, loved the show and can't wait for RR!!!
incredible show @the greek! this my friends is what true art is all about...reading the setlists can't even come close to what is happening at the show!! the way the band plays everything is beyond the layman's comprehension ! an all star band playing with conviction, joy, magic & love is truly a sight to hear & behold! such a jammin dancin show they can play whatever song they feel like & it's a jaw droppin experience....fall tour is on fire & 4 more shows togo...come on vegas papa needs a brand new bag! lady luck smile on me plz!!amore
I thought the first set was okay, not great. I'm not as partial to those songs but the China Cat and Mason's were fantastic.
2nd set rocked. Especially from the Other One onwards. The Unbroken Chain was epic - clearly the highlight of the night. Let it Grow was good, Mountain Song was alright but had a fantastic jam.
Morning Dew was great and the playin' was well received.
Overall I found myself bored at a few points but not too much so. I'd certainly go again tonight if there was a second show!
Fun times!!
Right on Bill,I really dug first night in Eugene also! I only saw the Eugene shows, and without insulting you,I have an extra ticket for Tom Petty/ZZ Top at Hollywood Bowl if you would be interested,Bruce Eddieboy Weber! 530-896-1195 home,530-513-8945,cell.
SWEET!
Hey, Carmine -- I think you need to get a little excited about something, OK?
Seriously - I do appreciate your enthusiasm (could probably use a dose of the extra energy you seem to have).
Thanks Eddie.
Nice offer, but I can't do it.
Back to work after this great Furthur run.
Salvatore is beaming!!!!
I love it.
