I thought they sounded pretty good conisdering it being live television... however I thought it was ridiculous that David Letterman who has known these guys since 1982 would rather talk about pointless things with that blonde girl from that show "The Hills" instead of give them a few more minutes for Sunshine Daydream, I really think they could have developed a nice jam out of this, like I said they were sounding pretty good for live television.
It was really funny though when Dave read the note "The Dead have no Cd"..
I agree, long history between GD and Dave. They deserved a sit down interview before the tune. Of course knowing Bobby & Phil, they may have not wanted to do that anyhow. I thought they sounded pretty good although Bobby's voice seemed to be a bit stressed. Still a long way to go on this tour for Bobby, maybe he needs to pass off some vocal duties to Warren & Jeff?
Bobby sounds fine
His voice is showing its age and that's cool with me
bobby did his thing and rocked it
It sucked that they only played (what?) 3 minutes of Sugar magnolia squuezed in at the absolute end of the show and were then rushed off the air with dave making that ridiculous comment about "The Dead have no CD" or whatever. I can't understand how the guys even agreed to do that gig, with shows 6 nights in a row anyway it would have been better for them to take a "day off". Do they really need the money or the publicity that badly?
