It does seem almost surreal that this starts in the early/mid/late 60's and continues to roll as strong as ever. How many shows do you think Bobby and Phil have played and is there anyone even close? BB King? I can barely keep up with these guys and Phil has at least 20 years on me.

Call me crazy, but I swear I just saw Keller on my floor going up to the Concierge lounge, and then back down at the desk because his key wouldn't work. And last night a Hotel guy sat outside the bank of rooms at the other end of the hall...until at least 2:00am. Hotel is upscale but I can think of much better places. Must be my imigination.

Me too Tom!Remember back in the late 80"s when they did the live broadcast of the NYE show? We paid I think 20 bucks to go see it at the National Theatre in DC. Great time! So old school now with the internet! One great thing about technology... you use to spend so much time on the lot looking for friends... now you just text or call from your cell and say... "section 102 or next to the green bus" saves so much time for more important activities!! he he!!!

why no Franklins Tower at Tower Theatre in Philly where the Liberty Bell is ...it can ring, turn night to day, ring like fire when you loose your way

that would be giving you what you expected, which they almost never do

this show was good...here comes sunshine was solid with some great guitar work from JK, the band was finding a tight groove, moving around during the jams...reuben and cerise was beautiful with a short jam than i was hoping for...greatest story started out a little rough but worked into a nice rendition...following up with a dupree's was a wise choice---this was awesome jeff and john just ripped it apart back and forth.....money for gasoline was a highlight tonight, at least in my opinion--it is finally becoming a song i do not have to inform everyone around me the title...its sounding like they've been playing it for thirty years...doin' that rag is a treat as always (except the off key audience singers) and a rockin sailor

second set kicks off with a nice jam--i could tell it was going to be truckin beforehand but they did some other one-esque jamming with it..a nice version..bombs not as loud as i would have liked but phil hits some heavy jazz improv on the backend of this and rockets us into a slammin caution, a real ass shaker...nobody girl sucked the energy out of the room but i really thought john did a beautiful job with it..more and more people remain standing each time its played so its getting through to some folks, myself included..i love how they've been pairing this up with china doll--such an eerie tune but i love it...uncle johns sounded spot on they even got the 'crow' verse down safely..let it grow started out sloppy and did not really reach its potential until the final jam...scarlet was unexpected and too short...quickly segued into midnight hour, an okay choice, better than the version from best buy.........jbg was fun great job by bob

i noticed weir was a lot louder in the mix tonight, phil as well, they sounded great...weir was doing some really brilliant rhythm playing throughout the night

What a week at the Tower. I will have to count the # of different songs they did in 5 nights, but it has to be 85 plus. Went to these 5 and Phil's birth day show. Unfuckin believable. Never had such a good time, in my life before. Now to take my rest.

Great first set. Reuben was beautiful, duprees, doin that rag...we were ready for some second set magic for sure!

The second set started strong enough, but Nobody Girl>China Doll (Liz Taylor tribute) broke the momentum, and although jk played the hell out of it, The boys never seemed to get it back. They basically limped off the stage after a scarlet that went nowhere and a weak midnite hour. The encore was mercifully short, as JK had nothing left and Bobby was starting to sing off key.

Phil's bday and the Tower satrday were epic, so 2.5 out of 3 ain't bad. See ya for one more try in NYC!
