This has been my first tour hanging out here and reading and occasionally posting. I even gave a couple of short reviews of the 4 Tower shows I made it out to with some cool friends I work with.

I have read some great insights and helpful words, I have read disturbing news (as it was happening - RIP Joseph), I have read some fairly petty bickering, I have read some truly inspired opening set calls (I was even the first to call Maxwells Silver Hammer after I heard they did Something - go ahead - check it!), and I have listened to shows live (or close to it)from streams with links posted here - wow.

My point is - THANK YOU! That's all of you (okay maybe a bit more thanks to the tapers and streamers). It's been great following these guys virtually.

I love this band and the Zone and all you zoners are awesome!

Just listened to the Strawberry Fields Forever>When You Wish Upon A Star...

This is seriously, IMHO, some of the best music being played out of all the post GD incarnations. Listen to the interplay between everyone on stage in the jam that follows Upon A Star... they're playing with each other! its beautiful! Just dripping... the progression this band has made puts a smile on my face.

Vincent... I am escaping into Unbroken and blown away!

Okay just done with Comes A Time... I am at tears. Could just be the day for me, but oh man... Johns vocal control. He is an amazing musician.

The sequence of Comes A Time>The Wheel compliment each other musically and lyrically...

Got back home a bit ago. 1st nothing special - good, but nothing special. Second set - definately one of the best Furthur sets I have seen. Song selection flowed beatifully and playing was stellar.
I think Strawberry Field was a vocal colaboration, but John did take the leads
I am biased, as I was there; but the Comes A Time was very moving Cried my eyes out - and I am rarely brought to tears by this band ( or any post GD band).
GET THE SECOND SET OF THIS SHOW - it is definately at least worth a listen. Like I said, it's hard for me to give an objective opinion, as I was there, but the 2nd set was truly moving.

Nice!!! with a capital N. Solid first set with Here Comes Sunshine, Cosmic Charlie and Suger Mags standing out. The jam out of Welcome to the Dance was nice too.



2nd set was just wonderful...

by far the worst furthur show ive seen

entire show from HCSun was completely flat and inconsistent

the first set was a pathetic mess, Celebration and Welcome to the Dance? awful...
the Around and Charlie were just as flat, went no where whatsoever..
JK singing like an angel on Comes and SFF were the clear highlights of the show..
cant believe they are consistently playing this WeLoveU song, and its set placement continues to let down (like NYE)..

the crowd was most excited to hear When i wish upon a star and Truckin...
phil continues to dominate the "jams" and is constantly cutting off JK (twice in Fire)
..transition in to cassidy took all wind out of sail already..
Oh and yet another Otherone,Wheel,Truckin,Touch.......

the transitions were the furthest thing from smooth and crafty...many came to a complete stop and needed communication through mics as usual

this setlist may look nice on paper to many of you, but they absolutely FAILED it ..couldnt even sell out Half of UcfArena btw
