Wow just got back from the 2.5 hr drive from San Diego half asleep. But man Warren really let it all out tonight. First off I have start with the Encore. MACHINE GUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Warren walked on with a Fender Strat wich looked odd to me and he started playing with some Voodoo Child and Little Wing riffs and then He broke out Machine Gun staight from Band OF Gypsys. other highlights were Whighter Shade Of Pale Soulshine intro-> 30 Days to end the 1st set. thorazine, Lola, Mother Earth and a few new songs from the album. gotta go totally fried. Bakersfield Tomorrow...........Peace

Man they had a long drive from Reno the night before, but sounds lke a killer show!

I thought the San Diego set list was the best of the tour, though every single one was totally inspired and fearless. I am so glad Warren and the guys brought it to the West Coast in 09. :-)

Thanks for the notes about the Little Wing and Voodoo Child teases. They so add to the overall vibe of the song. And wonderful to hear he is mixing it up with a Strat. BTW, it was the 39th anniversary of Hendrix's passing.

That Machine Gun cover encore was some epic Mule! Over 20 minutes long!
