"stream-whores"
TRob <- Trust you're enjoying the show! MANY THAANKS!! PEACE!!!
Those are two of the best stickers I've seen yet....
Who's giving TRob shit in chat Addie? I'll go back in and kick some heads around.
Set 2: Lost Sailor> Saint Of Circumstance
Just some ungrateful slobs! Think they are owed a stream! They are the ones that probably ruined it for all of us! They were downright nasty!
"Stream-whore!"
I'm thankful for the way TRob is handling it!
Set 2: Lost Sailor> Saint Of Circumstance> Dear Mr Fantasy
Good things come to those who wait....
Set 2: Lost Sailor> Saint Of Circumstance> Dear Mr Fantasy... St Stephen
((((((((Taperrob))))))) <3
Set 2: Lost Sailor> Saint Of Circumstance> Dear Mr Fantasy... St Stephen> Mountain Song
I feel like their setlists had been getting a little cut and dry, but wow that is what I call a first set! The second set is shaping out real nicely too, but I hope they keep busting out crazy and out of place stuff (love the Just a Little Light, operator, No more do I).
I'm crossing my fingers for some awesome cosmic stuff this year at the red rocks run.
Somehow suggest the scintillating alliteration of the neologism:
"STREAM-SLUT" (Stream-Slattern??)
Set 2: Lost Sailor> Saint Of Circumstance> Dear Mr Fantasy... St Stephen> Mountain Song> Let It Grow
aka "Whoring for a Stream"
Set 2: Lost Sailor> Saint Of Circumstance> Dear Mr Fantasy... St Stephen> Mountain Song> Let It Grow, Unbroken Chain
If I'm not mistaken, JK has only sung one song per set for each of these three shows. Is that going to be the pattern for the tour?
Set 2: Lost Sailor> Saint Of Circumstance> Dear Mr Fantasy... St Stephen> Mountain Song> Let It Grow, Unbroken Chain, So Many Roads
this set, JK sang Fantasy and So Many Roads
LOL! Thanks, guess I spoke too soon before your last post. But still I'd love to hear him sing more.....
Set 2: Lost Sailor> Saint Of Circumstance> Dear Mr Fantasy... St Stephen> Mountain Song> Let It Grow, Unbroken Chain, So Many Roads> Goin' Down The Road Feeling Bad
Got the set 1 goin....thanks TR!

Set 2: Lost Sailor> Saint Of Circumstance> Dear Mr Fantasy... St Stephen> Mountain Song> Let It Grow, Unbroken Chain, So Many Roads> Goin' Down The Road Feeling Bad> We Bid You Goodnight, Donor Rap, encore: Touch Of Grey

A hot cuppa java and FURTHUR blasting through the breakfast room - THANKS TAPER ROB!!! A top o' the mornin and a great day of golf ahead...see you down the golden road to unlimited devotion.
Taper Rob provides a great community service, hope he gets to enjoy the shows. Interesting, this is a review section and there are no reviews really to speak of. Oh well.
...
Who sang "Operator"?
Phil does.
Friday and Saturday...MONSTER Shows...Best I've seen Furthur Play, Hands Down.....Sunday definitely had it's moments, but was awash in trainwrecks that Began with Verse 1 of Truckin... (which was skipped)and continued pretty much the whole night. Songlist did not flow together... was choppy at best... and Mountain jam they just completely lost where they were going. It was embarrassing actually.
Enjoyed myself Sunday, but was underwhelmed after what they delivered Friday and Saturday.
See you at RedRocks!
Nice! Was the last "Operator" played last year in Wallingford, CT on the anniversary of Pigpen's death?
>>>>Enjoyed myself Sunday, but was underwhelmed after what they delivered Friday and Saturday.
See you at RedRocks!
my thoughts exactly
>>>>Enjoyed myself Sunday, but was underwhelmed after what they delivered Friday and Saturday.
See you at RedRocks!<<<<
I always think it is Funny how people hear the shows. My wife thought Friday was the best of the 3, and I thought Saturday had it beat, but it was the Sunday show that really filled my cup.
I thought Saturday freaking rocked - Scott, the guy behind me on the lawn, thought the band "phoned it in". Perception and head space always seems to have a lot to do with how one sees and hears a show. It really is a very personal thing. Like I said, it was the Sunday show that really touched me, but I spoke to one guy after the show who was over the moon about it! He thought it rocked harder than Saturday. Perception and head space.
Even though Kesey Enterprises caved to the city elders and shut down Shakedown Street, my head is in a much nicer space since Eugene and I find myself again gratefully blissed by the joy of dancing with with this band! Thank you to Furthur for keeping it fresh, real and dangerous.
To our new friends like Dave ("I love you man, don't F*@# with me!"), Woody, Scott, Tom & Lisa, Mark, Rob, C&K, and all the other fine folks who helped make the weekend fantastic, Thank You! It was great sharing the groove with such kind souls. See you all somewhere on down the road - travel safe!
And Thanks Again to Furthur for the full-scale delivery of this music we all love. I think this band brings it every night and I love the way they mix it up.
People may complain about dropped lyrics and rough transitions (and those may be valid complaints) but it all sounds "better" than anything else I've heard live since 1995. I've had fun with every incarnation of the family bands, and I loved the PLQ, but this band plays the music in a way that touches my heart and makes my soul soar. I'm enjoying this Furthur experience!
We already had our tix for both nights in Los Angeles, and are looking forward to them, but now are considering stretching it out to Monterey as well. Just for the serious fun of it!
Couldn't have said it better Gary. I'm still going to these shows because, like you said, they bring it every night. Doesn't matter if it's perfect. It never has been. Their hearts are in it. So many bands go through the motions, doing the same set night after night. Not these guys. They come out with something like Train in Vain or Golden Slumbers. I love it and agree it's serious fun.
