Good mornin' Green Mountain Man! Looks like I get up and out of bed earlier than you - days a wastin' and I wouldn't want to miss out on starting the thread! I get such a vicarious thrill out of beating you to the starrting line, that I could barely sleep last night. That and knowing the band is out there in Indy cranking up the tunes one more night! I am severly chastised by you, brother and hang my head in shame (not really but I am trying to make this sound as facetious as I possibly can). I would humbly suggest you get a life if that bothers you.
Meantime to all the brothers and sisters on the couch and on the road, isn't this phun? Pray for many more couch tours. FREE THE MUSIC!
The Fall Tour Grand Finale upon us.

OUCH! I stand (actually sit) corrected and I beg humble forgiveness to all, even to you Hounder! And possibly even to the Green Mtn. Man.
Hoeever, I can't seem to locate that funny looking squiggly thing on my computer keyboard (instructions, please).

Why does Adam Dean post threads for all of the shows and goes to none of them? Why does he have to be the first/last post for every show? Why does he beg for a stream every night? Hey guy - relax...we are all excited about the music. If a kind taper streams the show we all win. Your persistent begging does not change the situation.
Try going to a show and give us all a break!
Checking in here. I'm going to be there tonight, pretty fucking psyched.
what I want to know.........what is left to play? Figured New Speedway but that was last night.
Shakedown? not likely played twice this tour
Dark Star? just played the other night

Blow Away........good theme for this tour!
See you there........leaving cincy shortly!

You know, dude, I kind of took that personally. You don't have a clue. Typical newbie whiner. I think I'm a tad older than you (54 to be exzact) and having attended over 100 Dead shows in various eras back to 1974, I think I'm well qualified to have an opinion here, phriend. In fact I have been to 16 Furthur shows to date, and they have played literally in my 'back yard' the past two years @ The Tower and Mann Center.
I start threasds because I can, I'm an early riser. I comment because I have something to say, not whiner bulls**t that wastes space. As far as streams go, it's not begging at all, it's HOPE that someone will be kind to free the music.
The 'powers that be' on this site choose to keep streams to themselves and only share with a small group which IMHO is elitist and very unkind, but of course that's just my opinion. Rather than telling you straight out to 'f**k off', I've made an effort here to give you a straight answer. Next time you want to start a thread, do it! No snivelling. People like you who hide behind the keyboard make discussion threads like this way less user phriendly.
Lighten up you two.
Or we will have to re-name this site the
Battle Zone.
Can't we all just smoke a bong?
Just kidding we all have valid opinions and comments , let's keep it positive , when making personal cracks - make sure they know your just foolin around , Otherwise shut up and dance !!! P.S. indy's going crazy tonight ! Likewise I'm sure Have fun everyone of us. Or else!
your showin your age Adam....relax...enjoy the ride...out of your control....have a great time tonight and be safe
This is a space of positive energy and a miracle to behold as the boys and our extended phamily are showing us their love, in real time I might add. Kind comments here will get us all the response we may need, and love will see you through.....
Is the CST still going on?

I am calm now, have always been calm, just don't appreciate being called out for senseless nothing. The power is indeed in the music. I do appreciate kind comments from phriends.
My apologies to all the zoners if my previous post was not in the spirit of this phansite.
Wishing you all positive vibes and a great show at this truly amazing venue.
Enjoy Murat and see you Spring Tour!
Thanks, Brad. In all due respect, I hereby promise not to start another thread on this tour!
WHEW! Now with that behind us, we can all dance and sing and enjoy the music and hopefully a stream!!

I listened to Columbus today Dave (first time as there was no stream) - what a great show you saw!!! smokin'

Came back quickly with another Cumberland Blues. Jamming it out as usual. The band is really hot right now.
nice Cumberland... on the stream!!!
Doin that rag
Hello Lynn! What's in the oven tonight?
real fun set tonight.
Nooo my stream Died!!!
fssstt!
come back couch tour!
now it's playing a China Cat. What's this?
Does anyone think that Doin' That Rag is a strange song with which to end the first set? Or is it in fact not the end of the set?
I tired getting back on and China Cat started playing, what the heck??
Emvibes stream is gone - abrupt ending during a hot jam. This is why I would pay for a soundboard broadcast. Revenue hounds, are you listening? Premium couch tour? Whattaya y'all think?
Playin'>Crazy Finger>Playin'... first set... that is a special treat.
hey Adam.. nothin tonight, been away a few days, chillin and getting ready to make my homemade canolli and pizzelle tomorrow for holiday. Then some cranberry-orange relish for T day !
it'll be a full two days in the kitchen for me, i can catch up on past few shows jam n bake it out....the right way.
I think it's a strange set ender
Sounds like a battery failure... this would not happen on the premium tour... but I kinda like the guerrilla aspect of it all...
Depends on how it ended. And from tapes, I seem to recall it ending sets in '69.
I have nothing against the random, hit or miss stream, and my respect and thanks goes out to all who try to share. I love being able to check in from the couch at all, but soundboard quality in real time would be a wonderful option!
woaaaahhh, what happened ??? we lost stream ??
i was on phone with my friends that are there, they asked if anyone knows of an opening act tonight ?? something filament, it is on marquee and wondering what was up. they vend and did'nt go in this show.
getting ready to hit up the free tri show with my fav MULE guys...it's all over fb, and the rehearsal vids were intriguing and got me interested...Planet of the Abts ~
A Rag out seems to signal a jamin' second set opener!
hi, Lyn
It was the end of the set.
Keep the faith. The stream will return.
That was a very sweet jam that got cut off. oof that hurts when you're so channeled in.
Thanks Floeps, and how ya doin ??? i am swinging over to the TRI studios free show Matt Abts from MULE latest project....Planet of the Abts.

Planet Of The Abts
Planet Of The Abts
Self-released
Listening to Planet Of The Abts’s self-titled debut album is like crash-landing right in the middle of some amazingly wild-ass rhythm-infested cartoon world … except the band is very much real – and they happen to be very serious about making music.
But, sweet Jesus … pick a track – any track. Here: “Off The Hook”. It might be an old mid-60s Jagger/Richards chestnut, but by the time Planet Of The Abts (POA) is done with it, the original head-bopping Alley Oopish main riff is vaporized, replaced by a thundering charge that sounds like Iggy Pop fronting vintage Deep Purple, all steamroller organ and fuzzy/crackling guitar. After a couple in-your-face verses, things just explode into a rolling, tumbling ball of pounding sound (I swear there’s even a one-fingered piano part in there ala “I Wanna Be Your Dog”) that never loses the groove. And that as much as anything is the key to the music of POA: as big, wild, and colorful as things get, THEY NEVER LOSE THE GROOVE.

Nice, have fun, Lyn.
I would gladly and gratefully pay for a real time stream. Especially if playbacks were allowed - like the TRI show. Part of me would miss the adventure of the free stream, but I would get over it...likely in the 1st few delicious notes.
sorry free WEBCAST show.. and opening id Moksha ( now) kinda trippy, eclectic. so after stream ck out this new band, maybe...lol !
WOW !!!....the sound is outta this world, crisp and clear !!
cant wait for Phil and the boys to do a live one from Bob's studio
I'm listening and it sounds pretty sweet.
Why don't we do it in the road....! Wouldn't that be friggin' great?!!
i agree floep.. i really like this kinda music. The Furthur show sound was phenominal from TRI, i'm such a sound whore....can't listen if it's muffled or jumbled ( i think i've been a lil spoiled recently, with all the good shows) ...lol !
wow, i like them...here's they're site

nice. They sound good together.
Have they done that before?
Yes, Deadbase tells of the GD doing a playin>crazy>playin on 6-19-89 and 6-10-90, Playn.crazy fingers was very commone but the sabdwich was done only twice according to Deadbase. I was at 4-3-88 Hartford, CT where we got the amazing playin'>crazy>Franklins. That was sick. Enjoy the show!!

cool - thanks crazy! Gonna lookem both up and also check out your Hartford show thanks!
the couch was just lit on fire..I give,if I can't listen, can't be on the couch..
The band on TRI is pretty hot! Me likey
JR--the Hartford show is cool, but also know that Jerry's vocals were a bit lacking because he seemed to have a really scratchy voice that night. He actually threw down the mic before drums because he was so pissed. That show also boasts the "best" gimme some lovin' ever according to Deadbase. Brents keys are sizzling...
CF
wow - don't remember too many times where Jerry got so visbly angry as to throw down a mic. Thanks again.
Well - another successful couch tour. Thank you everyone - especially the streamers! The only show I hit this tour was Wilkes-Barre and it was outstanding (my 9th Furthur - on the bus since Miami 88). Looking forward to New Years and to the Spring Tour! Come back to the Mann in Philly! Please do some acoustic sets! I love this band - this is what we've all been waiting for.
me too Kykind....i like this song a lot I HEARD AT BEGINNING THEY ARE FROM Las Vegas, have to ask Howie if he has seen em live. this satisfies my jazzy-trippy-dippy side...lol ! relaxing and exhilarating at the same time ???
no new stream yet ? i am just checking back for setlist...hmmm !
WoW...this is nice jam here ~*~

It's been fun...
anyone else see the humor in that encore? Find the setlist maker(s) and give them a hug. I'm older, wiser, and needing of a rest just looking at that thing.
nice tour..
saw just msg show...
but have heaed most of the shows..
no broken arrows, no queen janes -i think- or desolation or mobile blues..
china doll? not a one..
maybe a couple of less terrapins, ubc, let it grow's and vlb, and more he's gones..an occasional ship of fools
just being picky..its all so good.
i guess i'm not going to get a mr. charlie anytime soon!
Yeah- definitely reminiscent of Mann 2nd night - I was actually front row far right - There was a Morning Dew in there also which I remember because it made my clothes vibrate. Amazing 2 night run and this was a wonderful reminder of it. That night was supposed to be the final night of that tour, but they wound up tagging a couple more nights on in NYC afterwards.
They played China Doll twice this Phall:
Vegas 10/4/11
C'ville 11/8/11
Definitely need to get the Broken Arrow back...
(And after that, then the Childhood's End???!!!...)
Amazing tour. IMHO, the best Furthur has had so far. Cannot wait to listen to the last show tomorrow.
Pretty dope show tonight. I was there second row center balcony, spent a little time in the 10th row center orchestra, too. Touch of L. Fun stuff. The second set was very psychedelic. First set highlights were Scarlet, Crazy Fingers and Playin'. Doin that Rag. Highlight of the evening for me was probably Terrapin-> Blues for Allah. BfA was a major headfuck. Did not see that coming.
Any word on why Phil had his bass amps arranged in one big stack instead of side-by-side?
Well it's over for now, and down the road we go. I sincerely regret the harsh words and would if I could just erase all that s**t. I do love to be a part of the tour vicariously through this chat room. I will work on my format technique - have finally read the instructions on the left side, Brett - I located that squiglly line thingy ~~~ so I now know how to use it, Voodoo Chile. I can't wait to hear the shows from this tour when they come up on The Archive.
Phil and Bobby are still enjoying their life as "former members of the Grateful Dead" and have surrounded themselves with an amazing band! They are playing music from every era and some great new songs as well. I also cast my vote for "Broken Arrow" and "Childhood's End". And I wish Bobby would break out some Kingfish tunes.
Health and happiness to everyone, even you Hounder! See you on the couch at New Year's. Bless the streamers who have set the music free.
All glories. Happy Thanksgiving to all.
Happy Thanksgiving to Adam and all. Went to a few shows, bought some downloads, did not do the couch tour.....this time. We are very luck to have such fine music and a great community. Being older than Adam (60) and a few more shows under my belt (GD-300 or so) I can still say I really enjoy the scene and the people. I always get refueled when I get to some shows.....and it helps ease the workday stress for quite a while. That is what a good smile will do.
Most of the shows are on archive already, I listened to the columbus one but sounded way better on the one you can buy from the hobbit thing.
Mission accomplished! !!!!
Looks awesome I will definetly want to down load this one. Epic second set there. Maybe a stronger encore would have been more poetic?
Baby Blue?
Looks like Albany got the best encore this tour
Happy trails

to me full reviews are like finger prints, everybody has a different one, not to mention I hate disecting a show...... the list pretty much tells it all.
Playin' through Doin' the Rag was the highlight of my show.
Jumped on the bus in Buffalo, every show was so killer, except Indy, Furthur show 36. There were far too many repeats, and yes it did suck to see the same songs over and over when we know they have more material. The setlist was not bad, but extremely repetetive. I was hoping for If I had the world to give, China Doll, It's all over now baby blue, Rosemary, etc.... The worst thing was the damn security, what a bunch of MORONS, flashing their leds, bumping into people, and clearing the aisles every 5 seconds. This was so distracting it took away from my focus helping to create this music and scene. All of the repeats from the last week should have been avoided at all costs. Who is runnin this show anyways, poor venue and song choices. Thank you for Colors, Cumberland, and blues for Allah. If this is what the next last show of a tour is like, a huge skip it is in order. Otherwise, I truly LOVE FURTHUR, thank you for many magical moments, GDF.
I have considered carefully what songs could have added to the tour. If these were played in Indy all we would be talking about is the huge amount of EPICNESS squeezed inside the Murat. Maybe I will get a hold of Gary and David from Sirius and create my own headset for you to nibble on. My song requests for the next tour are as follows: Catfish john, let it rock, Hey little one, Attics, Desolation Row, Why don't we do it in the road, When push comes to shove, We can run, Victim or the crime, tons of steel, to lay me down, Times are a changin, Don't Mess Up A Good Thing, Drink Up and Go Home, Easy wind, Foolish Heart, G L O R I A, Heaven Help The Fool, How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved by You), I Will Take You Home, I'm A King Bee, I've Been All Around This World, It Hurts Me Too, Jack A Roe, Just a Little Light, Lazy Lightning, Loser, Love The One You're With, Mexicali Blues, Next Time You See Me, Nobody's Fault But Mine, Picasso Moon, Queen Jane Approximately, Ship Of Fools, Simple Twist Of Fate, Sing Me Back Home, Stir It Up, Sugaree, Tangled Up In Blue, Tennessee Jed, That'll Be The Day, The Race Is On. Have phun in Cisco, love ya all, see ya in 2012, A LOT!

Spoken like a true newbie ingrate.
Ruggedhill, were you there, inside of my body, heart, or soul? Trust me, if you were you would feel exactly the same. Was it the best tour of my life, absolutely. Was Indy completely effed up, yes indeedo. That show was NOT designed for people on tour. Age doesn't define experience and I always come with the best attitude. This was my seventh show in a row and was a bit let down. I am the 99% and many others felt the negativity. Let's leave it at that. We can openly debate this here or otherwise if you can withhold your attempted insults, 36 shows is far from a newbie bro. Peace, love, and prosperity. G D F
BTW hill, have some respect and get my name right, I am the Integratr, in me lives light, love, joy, peace, and universal harmony. Without this there is no music. Seek and Ye shall find, or perhaps spend a little time on the hill.
I would have to agree about the Indy show and the security. I went to both St.Louis and Indy show and it was night and day between the two shows. Even before the show started cops were on shakedown street hasseling people. They left after awhile but came back after the show and did a complete shut down of shakedown. Inside the venue ushers were constatantly walking up and down the asile with there lights telling people to move along. On the music part the show was great. Don't know if anybody else felt this way but during Uncle John's band, Bob made it sound like "come see Uncle John's band and looked right at John Kadlecik like he is the man now!! If you look at the setlist you can see they left the encore blank and came out with Touch of Grey, as to say "BOB and the band will get by" kinda like passing the torch to John, just my opion but it was very cool to see. All in all a great two show run and lets hope for more shows in the future!!
Have now listened to this show - great end-of-tour performance - John is on fire here and the Blues For Allah was nice to hear again (Philly 2010!!). Blessings to all.
