"Old Hippies" like me need to pay more attention! Got home last night about 9:00 PM to log in for the show and discovered it was already over! Fortunately (and God Bless) there was a great stream to plug into and listen to the whole show! Thanks be to streamers for freeing the music. You too, HOUNDER!
Today's show is scheduled once again for 5:30 PM and I will be here - on the couch = groovin'.
Oh Adam... you always make me laugh.... That was my reaction at 8:40... damn, missed it... thank goodness for a stream and a nice bottle of wine.... another perfect night... Thanks all!
show tonight is on sirius
It looks like the sirius stream will be drier than the aud. stream.
everybodys soaked
I've been computerless for a couple of weeks and wanted to pass on a late review. I've only been to the Philly area shows (plus penn's peak and Wilkes-barre) and drove to the CT show on 4/7, and brought a friend who hasn't seen any versions of the band since '94. My review probably isn't as interesting as his. He loved it! Every note, bomb, dancer, parking lot, the setlist, whole thing. I kept pushing him to find something negative, but couldn't.
The Sirius XM stream and (Furthur's set) is scheduled for 5:30 - 8:30pm. It's on their Grateful Dead channel. Earlier they (JamOn) streamed the Mule's 3:15pm set, which was cut short (during a Band tribute)by some gnarly rain. Stef announced on Jam On that that the Furthur set may be hung up b/c of the rain factor. OK - Just heard they are now due up shortly. (It's 5:45pm)

KW is streaming too - I think it sounds a bit smoother than what gluefacehead is streaming.
Thanks to both! choices from the west coast, how cool is that?
Thanks to both from England too. It's not often we get to hear the live streams at a sensible hour but this is perfect (11.20 here)
dancing "live" in digital time - globally Furthur!
Some great swinging jazz grooves in Estimated and Bird Song with Jeff overflowing with ideas
setlist anyone? Sorry - I just started listening.

Nice ...into Wharf Rat
Wow wow! This is Getting silly
Thanks Dan.
My wife, who hasn't listened much to Furthur but went to many Dead shows with me in the past, was listening to the Shakedown with me and said how much she thought the whole sound of the band was so different and jazzy. Furthurmore, she said she liked it and is amused at how much I am enjoying the bus ride again

Stella Blue
Viola sammy... Nice. Stella Blue been chasing this song for a while with furthur. At least I'm hearing it streamed...
I love this band.
One long mega set...reminds me of long ago shows in the 80s when the Dead played stadium shows with Bob Dylan.
Tonight's elongated set doesn't have any drums or space breaks either...not bad for a couple of old timers like Bob and Phil!
omg John's Stella blue is incredible....the Billy Graham SF NYE from 2011 has been my fav untill not, this one is up there, man..

Enjoyin' the Re-Stream!
To all the haters, Don't like Furthur? I DO!
where is this re-stream you speak of Willytee?
I missed all the Beacon shows, but I've been "on the couch" since this band started. Tonight's show was outstanding.
Yes, outstanding! Et tu, HOUNDER?
AD going to ABB?
just gotta poke around
DAUmm...
...I know who WASN'T picking setlists the last 2 nights...
holy shit, what a set.Hopefully the stream will still be up tomorrow
Sounded grate on Sirius.
Couldn't believe how good it sounded on XM! Could here every instrument perfectly! Chementi & Phil were on fire! Phil almost blew the speakers on our XM box!! What a set! All time greatest hits spectacular!
Hey Sailorsaint - I see nothing but totally positive comments, and you bring out "To all the haters". Negative waves man, negative waves..........
Hate is everything you think it is - Neil Young
I think they should do this setlist format for all shows. One long set, keep the momentum going, forget about the set break!
anyone think sirius xm will rebroadcast this?
Awesome time and no OMSN...
Sound quality wise, this was easily the best sounding Furthur (or of "The Dead") broadcast on satellite radio. Sounds really nice, replaying the recording. For the first time, I'm just going to keep this, no need to download an alternate source.

For those who may have forgotten us this far Further...
Peace
Or should I say; those who have gotten us this far Furthur.......... never could string words together that well....
It rained during Mule, then cleared up - gave it a nice look, better than the night time stuff. Seemed to sound better than the Brothers too. Gotta love outdoor shows. Phil's just playing great, everyone else, even Garcia's kid slimmed down and looks fine Furthur is well-oiled now.

GARCIA'S KID?WOW YOU GUYS ARE GOOFBALLS
Georgie1 never said "Jerry's Kid or kids 4 that matter;)
I just got home today, Wanee sets were weak but enjoyable up until after franklins. viola sounded like they were playing something else (like cumberland or something twangy on the last 2 reentrys. Wharf rat and stella were amazing. I think these guys are bored. Good that Phil is doing friends and bobby is doing his thing. I love the Grateful Dead, Furthur, and i am truly a Phil-o-phile but I know when they are dragging. They have been draggin lately with fewer highlights. Last years tower run smoked this beacon run in my humble opinion. Looking forward to more Q this summer hopefully. I did have a great time this weekend- all of the music was sick, Allmans were amazing sat night, just stating what i think. Still totally looking forward to pawtucket.
I agree that friday's set was dragging. Their jams seemed forced. there was a lot of head shaking and arm waving from bobby. I think this picture sums it up nicely http://a1.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-prn1/560 307_10150663341607693_188661042692_9672615_1740643 373_n.jpg but saturday was on point, non-stop greatness. Probably the best furthur show I have seen.
Those raised eyebrows look kind of familiar.
I still had an amazing time- and when i look at the sets- even though i was not blown away, i was riding with mr lesh on another musical trip, and that is always better than any other alternative for me. i wanted stella so bad and when wharf rat came along (as beautiful as it was) I was BUMMED. when stella came after Viola I almost cried----Thank You furthur, sorry about the harsh post earlier. Got my rrd rocks tix. Anyone doin the peach fest? adam?
So I've heard someone call themselves a "boardie" it always made me wonder why they have to have a label?Sorry to switch subjects.I've hung with these boardies and they are the ones that make salads for the tapers. Why the exclusivity? You are special or differrent,no, then why call you a boardie? It's like the Masons in the Grateful Dead and as I said Further.Everybody is a boardie we are all equals at the shows. So they have food and water so go to the soundboard look for the salads and sandwiches and have dinner, drink Enjoy yourself bring a friend and smile when they give you the look and tell you that you love them .Do it on break because ITS ABOUT THE MUSIC.. Further is not the Grateful Dead.how ever ,keep the love alive and dont pigeonhole or judge people.Thats what makes us all the same because we are different.Together.
