show was incredible...was front row rail riding ROb side for 2nd set...Unbroken was furious ..the jam part , right outta the gate, lasted wayyyyy long and was intense, suuuper tight..dropped into the wheel which rose and dove like a soaring eagle. Phil dug into the Caution, Warren got his mojo groove on too..the band brought it down to a wimper and then Phil churned out the bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum again only to have them roll on like a steam train...these guys can go from complete stop to unified core of molten lava in like 3 seconds ...Night of 1000 Stars could have been the highlight for me, been waiting to 10 yrs to hear it live again and it did not dissapoint. The rest of the set was just gravy, it was midnight by that point and unfortunately ihad looked at the setlist on the stage and ruined my night for maybe 60 seconds, but now, they still had to get through Other One, Walrus, Terrapin and GDTRFB...Walrus was awesome, Rob belt's it, Warren does crazy shit exactly like those Beatles boys did in this tune, Terrapin was triumphant, with stellar crowd reaction to the "some rise, some fall, to get to Terrapin and "a rare and different tune Terrapin Staation"
GDTRFB after some grilled cheese was uber tasty with licks traded by Warren, Jimmy and Rob in a golden ring sort of merry go round..all in all, a VERY nice set and night 2 from the Q...wishing i was there tonight and tomorrow, for the Scarlet>Fire and St. Stephen plus whatever other gems they uncover...Patchwork Quilt for sure..Thank you boys. See you again soon. PEACE
Read review. Sigh. Smile. Sigh.
