WHY DID YOU POST THE SETLIST DUDE..??
Because he's pulling your unbroken chain.
First clue: 7 song first set.
Second clue, Wharf Rat as a second set closer? Really
Third clue: short as hell.
I can't get into chat. Anyone else having that problem.
I hope so, but looks like he just forgot Franklin's at the end and the encore. Can't imagine the band playing 3-4 hr sets at TXR., but we'll see. How do we get into the chat room? I don't see it posted brother..?
On the home page, to the right of Phil's picture and up a bit.
Well bust my buttons, looks like spoiler Todd is right on the money so far.
All I have to say is, 7 song first set? Wharf Rat second set closer, really? Short as hell.
He says as of 8pm CA time - the show wasn't scheduled to start until 7:30. I't 9:30 now - if the 2nd set has even started it can't be that far into it.
Showing us the setlist is just a tease and saying, FU, I'm here and you're not!
Most of us DON'T WANT TO SEE A SETLIST!!!
Have some respect for us that would love to be there but can't!
i never really speak here..but dude if you just let the cat out of the bag...then F*** you...that's a really shitty thing to do..in all of my 400 plus show's...you have been proven to be ulimate F***UP....
I don't agree with the last comment. People at the shows post the set lists as they're being played all the time. I don't find anything disrespectful in that. I don't even find anything disrespectful about @Todd's post except that he should have been clear that he had seen the set list in advance instead of just saying spoiler alert. If this is all accurate as people have said he clearly had seen the set list because he posted at a point when the first set was probably just starting. Unless he has a pyschic connection to Phil - which I doubt.
as they're being played all the time..
yeah, but he posted the entire show right as it started.. blew the fun of it all man..
if we all knew the setlists b4 they were played.. half of the experience we've all been clinging to for the last 45+ yrs would be ruined and more..
even though the band knows where its going these days., they know we love to see it unfold right b4 our very eyes and ears just as it always has..
IMHO., PLEASE don't post prior to the show.

because the Phans want to know!
I thought this was the "Re-view" board?
So, what was the "Grilled cheese" wrap, please?
not so hellish short after all with the Slip>Frank>Reprise
Nice second set.
@Dom, it's become a tradition at TXR to pass out grilled cheese sandwiches at the end of a show.
I don't know about you guys, but seeing the setlist ahead of time is a real bummer! My buddy had the setlist in philly in 2003 and said if scarlet wharf rat opened the show than it would be accurate, even knowing those 2 songs was enough- I didn't appreciate the post- maybe i'm in the minority, peace and love!
I can think of few things in the world that matter less than somebody posting a set list before a Furthur show.
I do agree with you, Grady. but I am one of those heads that wouldn't want to know what was inside of my birthday present box before opening it...
If I was fortunate to be listening to a stream then I would be pissed to get the set list in advance; but since we aren't that lucky these days there is no difference to me reading it before it happens or the morning after, which is when I read the reviews now. I'm not into following a show online if I'm not listening to it live. Just saying.
In any case, anyone hear any "ugly rumors" about if and when Phil is ever going to release soundboards of any or all these wonderful TXC shows? I know I'm not the only one jonezing for a fix! Peace out! (~);-}
I was near the front for a while and a guy and I were talking about how we could probably squint and make out the setlist if we wanted to. We both decided it was far better to be surprised.
I agree with Capt'n Kurt - if you're reading it here without a stream what's the difference? I am curious how he had the entire set list - the couple of times I've seen the band's set list onstage it's only been the set they're playing.
i was in front of phil most of the night...he had both sets taped to the ground in front of him from the get go. i never look, as i enjoy the surprise of the flow as much as anyone.
great show...second set had some of the more inspired 'new music' jams i'd heard in a while.
Don't let the cat outta' the bag!
I have to agree with the seeming majority...keep the list to yourself. A little reasoning and thoughtfulness would say if you post and F it up for 1 or more heads, you Fd it up. If you don't post, you don't F it up for anybody!!! Whoever posted should have run through this logic, or perhaps did and said FU anyway. Seems to me somebody wanted attention...look at me, I got the setlist. Piss poor move. And don't go down that what does it matter if you're not there crap. You can't make that decision for someone else (even though you did). I'd rather see it posted song by song as it happens. GROW UP. And have a nice day
He is only posting to show his coolness and/or to be a jerk and part of the fun is not knowing what's next.
The Furthur sets are less predictable and it is fun to get a surprise.
Keep the set lists to yourself!
We're not impressed that you know them!
So let me get this straight - there is no stream, and people are complaining about the set list being revealed?? That is ridiculous!! ludicrous i say. C'mon, get a life already!!!
I really hope someone taped this show. It was stellar top to bottom, and for me the highlights were all the transitions. Seeing the set list in advance gave me a different perspective. Instead of just journeying with the music wherever it might go, I repeatedly thought to myself "How are they gonna possibly get from where they are now to where they are supposedly headed?" Pretty much every transition in the 2nd set had me scratching my head and then amazed at the effortlessness with which they seemed to maneuver.
This band is very nimble, and Russo is the key to that. I didn't get the sense that anyone was leading last night, rather they were all moving together with confidence. Bobby was at his best, and JK was on fire playing his new super axe.
I've seen quite a few shows where I thought JK was mixed way too low, overpowered by Bobby even. The mix last night was superb, and also the perfect volume. I like leaning against the back wall directly in line with Phil's cab...rattles the bones. I can not say enough about how good the sound is in there, truly GRATE!
