Phil's singing is always at its best when he makes Franklin's his own. It pushes him out of his comfort zone nicely and lets him sing more naturally.

here is the link that works!!!!!!!!!

Summertime done come and gone my oh my!
Thanks Coloartist!!!!!! Best stream evahhh!
Thanks again Colorartist and the guy who put up your link. Hope you're going to be there the next 2 nights, that was crystal clear.
I give the Band a A, but Bobby a B- for lyric flubs. Come on Bob, look at the teleprompter more, especially on Jerry songs. Or better yet, LET JOHN SING JERRY SONGS THAT YOU ARE BUTCHERING.
Leave Bobby alone
Colorartist #1
Steve - thanks for checking back - an early work call this morning took me to bed early (I probably would have stayed up if the stream had worked) - will be tuning in again tonight and hoping for better luck! Sounded like a killer show, however - have fun tonight, you guys and gals! Looking forward to the real thing in Stnta Barbara soon!!!
Kymmie...will look for u tonight...once I found this link(which I finally found during Franklin's tower), I was in heaven as the quality of the stream was supreme...have a great day...

Good, solid start to a three night run! The weather was perfect! Got my first "Let It Ride", which I told my friend Liz I thought was "Welcome to the Dance"(!).
"Esau" tonight!!
Super weird show. 1st set was great, and a totally melt your face Weather report suite. But I felt like the band was all over the place for most of the 2nd set. Hey jude is where it all fell apart. The vocals were off the band seemed like they couldn't bring stuff back together smoothly. Super spacey and squeedley. Chimenti was dabbling in some Molitz-esque stuff... not my favorite. I don't know, everything just seemed really forced. All in all not my favorite show.
so to sum up & thanks to all!

A great great set list and an even better show. Phil was a Force of Nature last night, leading the band from start to finish. See my review on LL for more details.
excellent show last nite! phenominal musical interplay! always remember my phriends, " u ain't got time to call ur soul a critic no"...so blessed to see & hear this amazing music continually evolving! thank u "Furthur"!! they sure picked the right name!!
and for something completely different but kind of the same go here

"Chimenti was dabbling in some Molitz-esque stuff... not my favorite."
I really miss him. Not that I want Chimenti replaced. I like them both a lot. I'm about as far removed from songs like "Elevator" as maybe a person can get, but I still truly enjoyed Molitz pushing Phil into that territory. I'll take an "Elevator" over a Pink Floyd cover any day. But I love krautrock as much as I love GD music. I like the sounds of bubbling, cosmic synths. Moltiz managed to utilize those sounds in their contemporary form without sounding like plastic club music (I thought "Elevator" pointed in that direction and gave it the long bird). Very talented player, and I liked the sound of his gear a lot.
I didn't pick up on this on my own. Someone else thankfully pointed it out to me. One of my all-time favorite songs.
Stream The Other One and check out The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald within the first 25 seconds(:08-:26). JK plays the entire melody. He does it again three minutes later (I think around 3:18). Has JK done this before?
