This band is so much fun. Had a blast dancing with my wife Sunday at Shoreline and hope all my San Diego friends have a great time and a killer show tonight.

You may be thinking of Starlight Bowl in Balboa Park. JGB played there in '93 or '94, forget which.

Looks like the best show of the tour so far to me. 2nd set and encore looks way over top.

definitely looks like an excellent show on paper. we'll have to go to the tapes to see how good it really was. and even then we might not really know. some shows translate very well on the recordings; other times the recordings don't quite capture all the magic. either way i'm looking forward to hearing this show.

Was the best music played..

The wheels came off in a short strange Dark Star to a Mini Space to a Stella tease then for a few seconds we Lost Contact - no one playing - to a meandering transition to Caution w/ Bobby doing his rap scat Gypsy woman lyrics with some improv lyrics and then - Eyes that needed someone to step up and lead

Rear half of stage rocked - Back up Singers + Russo + Phil

JK bent strings played well but his tone was lacking an edge..did not establish anything that sounded outstanding..

Take this for what its worth from someone who left pre encore to beat the horrendous exit traffic when they went into Dear Prudence we headed to my Van

Its like Vegas we were winners saw our luck was changing so got up from the table while we were still ahead..

Aiko also rocked..

Great show last night. Jk sang eyes, not many vocals for Phil besides dk star and a few others. Set break way too long, over an hr. At the end of the second set, bobby wanted to go another and phil put on the brakes, weird moment. Overall, great show-highlights for me was dear mr fantasy, estimated and dark star

odd setlist but hot. I bet Bob wanted to play soemthing- good lovin or lovelight- gloria perhaps...too bad Phil was probably tired...he's playng too much maybe an dneeds to relax...I just got portchester, NY tix for the fall tour- save the energy Phil!

Nice show- looks like fun but does look truncated. How was that estimated? I like the way this band plays it.

show was fing bonkers....slow paced in the first set, heard my BTW and was elated only to be somewhat let down ,though this song NEVER fails...Mason's was good rocked out, Greatest Story was a real sweet opener, maybe the best tune of the night. Aiko was really fun, played well, but the rest of the set meandered, Dear Mr Fantasy got the train back on track, Eyes came out of nowhere, JK was teasing some sick beatles stuff in there somewhere, Dark Star had me spinning. Had to leave during Prudence cause my face was melted from being at the beach all day (..sloooowwww show but overall great venue, hoping Vegas will be rockin.

I only made it to the 2nd set of this show, but I thought it totally rocked. Everything they played was thoroughly jammed out, Bobby was energetic and into it, and JK was on it too. I've never been a big fan of furthur's renditions of Eyes, but this one was pretty great, with an killer extended keys solo from Jeff Chimenti. The band did seem a little loose with some confusion about where and when they were going, but the overall energy and fine individual playing made all good.

Just that during the 90 tour every show i went to brent did dr mr fantasy...cal state dominquez...cal expo...denver...every show i saw that year it seemed like i heard it...funny...would give anything to hear him sing now...but dont like furthur doing it...just my tastes
