Hot time to be had
heading over to 123burgershotbeer on 10th @ 51 - @ 5:30 - come one come all & buy me a shot!
I'm supposed to be meeting some people at McHales on 51st between 8th and broadway at 5 or so. If I make it to bugershotbeer instead I will buy you one!
Works for me - I am wearing a Snickers (candy bar) T-shirt that says "Phil Lesh" Packed with Jams, Phil Lesh really satisfies. and i'm short.
They're playing the Stones on the PA.
Thank you Taper Rob-how wonderfully kind you are to do this for all of us at home!
AMEN! Delila and to be plugged into the board
Thanks Rob!

Once again, (hopefully "we" will get it right for the Port Chester run...) another thread has been co-started under the super-logical heading:
"Philzone Phansite Community Discussion Board: OTHER STUFF: Phil and pals - 11/13/12....")
Let'z not do like the last 2 night and have 2 separate "competing"/simultaneous gathering of setlists, comments and phans...
Everybody please post/lurk there TONITE - and promise to never do it again!
See you here (under the should-be-obvious PHIL AND FRIENDS SHOW REVUS ONLY heading) for the Thursday 11/15/12 show - jah willing! Lovingly, Ron Deo
Oh... Hahahaha!
Adam back on organ. Jackie on piano
thanks for the updates Rob. Easier than trying to guess.

The show was interesting last night. Of all the Dead incarnations over the last 17 years last nights sound was most interesting to me. I'm not sure who that dude was that looked like a chick, but he was really unique. Last night had many highlights and my over all takeaway is it was a great show and I was very pleased. I saw 99 GD shows from '87-'95 and always loved the scarlet>fire so I was stoked about the classic second set list. The show did NOT need to be longer. The place was NOT over packed and security was NOT present.
The band had a JGB mixed with Phish type sound but more on the JGB sound.
To the highlights; Touch>Ruben was hot! TLEO exploded on the keys! Very jammy sounded like 1981 JGB...the rousing Good lovin was very intricate and the leads were tender and sprinkled nicely on the standard chords.
The second set was excellent. The scarlet was sung by Jackie- and I liked his poppy sound. But I prefer John- who sang most tunes. Fire was explosive and the guest really added wonderful color and tenderized the jams. That's what I liked about him -her?- (its guy but still..) he really found his ground and seemed to enjoy the show as he discovered the scarlet fire jam...it was cool.
This line up was different sounding than furthur. I think it is more creative and less structured with out Bob who I love- but the youth in the line up and experimental and creative collaboration is refreshing. This is not a dead imitation band it's truly a jam band that jams out dead tunes.
By comes a time I was shot and ready to bail but glad I stayed for NFA which was an active jam even if somewhat perfunctory.
My only criticism is I would have liked to see a tie dye back drop with some better lighting.
See ya at the Cap on Thursday!
ONe of the 3 most memorable shows in my entire life...LAst night was superlative, intensly jammy and lyrical, colorful and JK was wonderful! Phil bombs were HEAVY strong and insistent. NO security, except to get in, ...which was super light. Best of all shows so far...
LOL........."I'm not sure who that dude was that looked like a chick".
Jackie?
j/k.
Thats Phil
No it wasn't Jackie...it was a guest- who was that?
>>>Best of all shows so far...<<<
My sentiments exactly. Last night was perfect
Stanley Jordan was the chick
BEW- I asked you in TWO threads if you were going to these... and you blew me off.
I'll work through it- somehow. ;-)
Earl I don't remember those two threads...really? Would LOVE to have seen you...I had a crew with me there... We would LOVE to hang with you...My spacey head, worse each day(course I'm not helping it any with my little MFLB)... Most def next show Earl...a true pearl!
Guest was Stanley Jordan. Reminded me of a cross between Prince and Michael Jackson. Like many jazz guitarists he picked up near the frets on the neck of the guitar.
