thanks again
trob rocks!many thnx :-)
hold your ears trob - PHIL ROCKS THE MOST :-)
thanks!
did anyone else hear the breadbox jam before cumberland?
Did all the prior 7 shows. Skipped tonight and will skip tomorrow, but catch the finish.
See 4 songs were played tonight that had yet to be done on this tour, but not one of the ones I'm hoping to still get. Hoping the Terrapin is saved for Sunday. Probably get a S&D on Sunday and probably get Saturday Night tomorrow. Wonder if Jackie will get to do Hard To Handle; hope so and hope that is Sunday. Really want a KSM and see Russo go nuts on it. That >Terrapin would be a great second set ender for Sunday. I can only hope.
Wouldn't mind seeing Jackie, or John, get to do Easy Wind. Still think tour highlight may have been the jam in Mr. Charlie, as that has stuck with me more than any of the other really bright moments.
Wonder if any other Bobby songs will get into the mix. Still no Sugar Magnolia, Big River, Mexicali Blues, or El Paso. Could expect any of them. Songs like Miracle or Esau are likely not going to get played, IMHO. Maybe they'll do Lazy Lightning though, since Bobby seems hell bent on forgetting the song (even if Furthur ventured into the Supplication jam). ; )
Also not seen a Might As Well, or Tennessee Jed (they teased it though someplace - don't recall if it was last night or Wednesday). Right? Day Job (snicker)?
I heard that Tennessee Jed tease tonight : )
Here is my recording of tonight's show:

To all the phriends - sorry I missed you in 'the chat' tonight, was driving upcountry from Bangkok in heavy weekend traffic - Obama in Bangkok and we are 'out of town' like lightning to get away from the traffic and security hassles everywhere - now sitting poolside in a lovely mtn. resort area called Khao Yai drinking a cold Singha and listening to the recorded stream from last night (thanks TR!!!). Will be listening in to the rest of the shows via recorded streams as we have tee times early morning here. Ah. the life. Let the good times roll, indeed!
Have had a blast at the first two shows — can't wait to hear what's in store for us tonight and tomorrow. And love the poster!
the first two shows were smokin'! Last nights Brown Eyed Woman and China Rider were killer. The floor at the cap is a blast- total dance party phreak show. Round 3 tonight!
Who's better than TaperRob?
Is TaperRob streaming these shows - so we can listen live?? I am home sick, and would love to tap in! How do I do it??
Awesome TaperRob!!
Happy birthday Lauren. Hello Barry!
Terrapin kicked ass! Very intense.
This was a full throttle show for me! Went to 2 Jersey shows and 2 Port Chesters and while I really enjoyed all 4 shows, this was the one that stood out for sure. The band was so in to it and high energy start to finish. Good amount of room to dance on the floor and energy was super positive. Good Time and Lucy were fun and got the ball rolling but the set took off at PeggyO, BEW was really upbeat and ripping! Jackie did a good job with Schoolgirl then the set really took off again during Bertha and peaked with CC!! Huge stealie up on the ceiling had me asking friends if I was really seeing that or not! Great long chill vibe at the break. For us, second set has it all!! NFA was a great opener and got the place right on track and giggin'! Early Morning Rain may not be the most practiced song yet, but the uality of the lyrics and Phil's effort on it make it for me! He means this one. Cumberland brought it all back up full steam ahead and seemed to have some unique craziness to the jam. Hard Rain....well, this was possibly the finest tune I've seen Jackie do in a long, long time. The place was rocking and singing the chorus LOUD!!! Major league energy ont this one! The Wheel brought the psychedlia and had a Cumberland-esque jam for sure. Back in and out....friends calling it the CumberWheel!! John melted the place and blew the roof off of it with the solo during Stella!! Nailed it and made it his own! Then came the Dance Fest frenzy....China > Rider that wouldn't quit!!! John ripped the last of the Rider leads! The totally kept the highe energy gigfest going with the GDTRFB! Wow was this a fun, memorable show!! Looking at the setlist later that night we were all, once again, reminded how there is no way to really know what a show was like just by looking at the set list on paper. Thank you Phil!!
