The Days was nice and atonal, just like Jerry liked em' in the end. Like a really, really scary, trippy Victim at the coda when all bets where off. It was transcendental, epic, sure-fire shit storm brimming with the blood of the ages...it was HUGE...it was Ornette Coleman and Terry Riley, Stravinsky and Coltrane all rolled into one...they hit a trance like tempo out of Dark Star into Terrapin that could do now wrong....GRATEFUL GODDAM DEAD!!!!!
shout out to Terry Riley
(really?)
and LaMonte Young....
and John Gibson...and Hermann Nitsch...and Charlemagne Palestine...and JLIAT...and Thomas Koner. A little too excited here.
Gee Bob .. Shake their hand .. your touch of grey has gotten rude.
A note to David Gans: Gee ... It didnt seem that hard to stream live the Sweetwater ... So what were you really saying when I had you on the phone live on New Years Eve?
Excellent job TRI !
TRI .. Why dont you make a TRI "Donation" PayPal for shows if you are working hard without getting paid.
Also ... there are plenty of inturns that would be glad to help for a pass .. if your short staffed.
Fantastic show last night. It was my first visit to the new Sweetwater and I've got to say that its certainly a first class venue. What a change from when I attended one of those rehearsal shows a couple years back. The food was also sensational. Actually Terrapin could benefit from seeing what they've done there at Sweetwater, from the food presentation and service to the sound. A really great night all around, albeit expensive!
Plus the video streams that I saw from the first two nights were top notch professional. And best of all FREE !!!!
