I was at the Fillmore in San Francisco for the ALO show last night. While the opening acts were playing I'm listening to Furthur live from Colorado via ustream with my earphones on when the Dead flag waving guy walks by me. If I was on phydelics I would have freaked out.
I know who your talking bout dead flag waving guy.

awesome taperrob...words simply dont express our appreciation...2nd half of 2nd set was unreal...loved it..thanks again to all the tapers
I didn't get a chance to hear it yet, but this is some VERY cool shit on paper:
1) Help on the Way> Cassidy> Mountains of the Moon>
2) Uncle John's Band> Slipknot>
3) always like the split up and multiple Slipknot sets
Here is tonight's show. Torrent is ready to go!

There is also an initial slipknot tying together Help On The Way and Cassidy at the start of the second set. Three times in the second set the Slipknot seques between songs... I love that... Always wanted that in the old days (I enjoyed a few GD shows where Playin In the Band was weaved throughout three places in one show combining all the music together). I even loved having a Playin reprise or a second verse dark star show up the next night or a few days later on a tour tying different shows together! The Music Never Stopped!
That's right Dave - and I really agree that those sets woven around a Slipknot or PITB or DS theme are particularly satisfying. Saturday's second set was particularly good - extremely well played throughout and thematically intense. Hope the snowstorm doesn't make things difficult for tonite.
I found the second set a bit sluggish and plodding after Help compared to the night before. Let it grow was the highlight for me.

This was just a killer show! ... back-to-back ... immediately following up another great show on Fri nite (2-22-2013)... altho IMHO ... I have to give this (one more) Sat nite the edge ... mostly because of the Help>Slipknot!(x 3)>Franklins extremely tasty sandwich served up in the 2nd Set ... with its innovative syncopations & novel arrangements avec hyper timing which permeated the entire H>S>F sandwich certainly didn't hurt ... the Let It Grow with its exquisitely extended jam added to the festivities & put the whole H>S>F Suite sandwich completely over the top ... the 1st Set weren't bad either ... & should not to be overlooked ... the opening run of The Music Never Stopped>Standin' On Shaky Ground>The Music Never Stopped followed by sweet & swingin' versions of Althea & Looks Like Rain was delectible in its own right ... yum ... recommend pickin' this one up over @ bt.etree right quick ... props to Z-man who recorded it & is serving it up over there ... his recording sounds sensational! ... plenty of muscle in the bottom end, everyone's vocals & instruments sound clear & nicely balanced ... & the crowd's energy & passionate vibe is well represented ... as Edward R. Murrow would say ... "You Are There" ... so get transported ... & enjoy this sweet recording of a real tasty treat ... y'hear? ... thanks again Z-man ...
