Pull for the Z-Man to send us a stream from BOSTON - are you out there, Z-Man?
saw the boys in philly...they raged it! the setlists dont give the music that much credit...very exploratory jams going on in between tunes. phil destroyed the boa in 08...im sure he will do it again.
Saw Brooklyn and Philly. Philly gets the edge for a much chiller crowd, but they kicked all sorts of ass in Brooklyn as well.
Looking forward to walking to the show after work!
Found this online for tonights Boston Furthur show... www.ustream.tv/channel/wryan47

PLEASE be very cool and grateful for what we do get okay? and reinforce the streamers to 'get it' FIRST. then if they're able and desire to do so, feed us out here. have a great show!

Thank you Z-Man and other streamers who make it possible for all of us all over the world to enjoy the show! Everyone sing along now.......
Time to catch some zzzzs and now I can go to bed.
Thanks for making it happen streamers! This nugs for you!
thank you ZMan
Who sang Sugaree and Black Peter?
pretty sure john sang black peter and jeff sang sugaree. the streams, while we're all of course tickled grateful red to have them at all were not of enough bandwidth for me determine which for which. it was not bobby or phil. I know them by the sound of how they walk.
thank you ryan, zman, ripplish, and all the rest for streaming again so so so very much!
Second set sounded good to me with a less than optimal stream quality, except for Peter, that was near dirge like. Rest of the set was very good! Bobby sings both Peter and Sugaree, much to everyone's chagrin.
Here is Boston night I Torrent:
http://bt.etree.org/details.php?id=565508
JEFF sang "Sugaree"?! Hadda be JK. Has FURTHUR played "Wang Dang Doodle" before?
Bobby sang Sugaree
Yup I, ve caught a wanger before.....ashbury park dec.09''
We were 5th row and largely impressed by this show. Given the large number of slow-medium paced songs, this is the kind of show that easily could have bogged down in the summer heat. But they kept it interesting with lots of good build-ups in the jams and tight ensemble playing. Passenger and Weather Report Suite were not typical set openers (at least for me), and I had never heard a He's Gone-->New Speedway segue before, so these little surprises also kept things interesting.
But it was the performances on the long elaborate songs (Mississippi, Weather Report) that drew me in most. These songs really showed how well Furthur has coalesced as a band and while JK's playing was as strong as ever, it seems he is truly stepping into a leadership role besides Bobby and Phil. In fact, the only surprising thing to me was how few lead vocals Phil actually sang. (I really only remember Let it Ride? - of course it would be a Ryan Adams song). It would have been the perfect evening for an Unbroken Chain....
After the Capitol Theatre Run, I was worried that age had finally caught up with these guys. This show put those concerns to rest.
Nice review, Tom Banjo! I'm in agreement. Highlights for me were WRSuite... just incredible, and the great jamming between New Speedway and Uncle John's. I think that New Speedway > UJB might have been the hottest thing I saw in my 3 shows, which included the killer Mann show.
Tonight's going to be another great one; wish I was staying in town for it!
Thank you Zman for recording!
I think the band sounds great!
Bobby's voice is clear and crisp!
Phil looks happy happy happy !
Gotta love home town shows!!!
Thanks Bzl - the jam of New Speedway-->UJB WAS interesting, I like the way they kind of snuck into UJB - another of the evening's nice surprises.
Did someone - Or will someone please creat a thread here for tonight please? Thank you!
Wow! That Crazy Fingers is amazing.
Back in the day, I always wrote down the setlist - pretty much stopped during the internet age, cause it wasn't necessary anymore - definitely stopped when smartphones came out, cause someone always seemed to post it online
But on Wednesday, for some reason, I decided to write the setlist down in my moleskin notepad that I always have with me - glad I did.
Here, unedited, is what I wrote:

Set 1 - 7:13
Passenger
Crazy Fingers (good version)
Miracle -> new speedway tease from phil ->
Wang Dang Doodle
- great pinetop perkins like solo by Chementi. awesome
1/2 Step - beautiful Rio Grande part
Let It Ride
Sugaree
- great crescendo from Chimenti
- JK followed with his solo, good chord fanning to end solo, but not the same intensity of Jeff's
8:28
[during the break I wrote down the following]
"Jeff's confidence is so clear - if only JK would reach for it like Jeff does, but I think he holds back some, why? - he shouldn't worry about falling, we'd catch him"
Set 2 - 9:03(?)
WRS - part II
Let It Grow 20 minutes total - filmed
He's Gone
New Speedway Boogie
Uncle John's Band ->
good jam, diverse ->
Black Peter
- surprisingly good vocals from Bob
NFA
- had a different little chord sequence/rhythm the first time through form, then right into the classic form
GDTRFB ->
WBYGN quote from JK - big smile on phil's face here, old school stuff
NFA
Phil's prayer of thanks for another day of life on earth
