Fun but kind of hit and miss show for me. When the band was on it was great but it had a few moments that missed. Hits for me include the China, So Many Roads, Eyes of the World and a rippin Throwing Stones. Wheel kind of clunked I thought and Bobby tried to take a lead that missed. 2nd set winners included Terrapin, Unbroken Chain, Scarlet Fire and the Rider. Standing on the Moon killed the mojo for a few with a horrible Bob lead on guitar and The Other One never seemed to go anyplace. You know how it is though, what I thought was the hits are somebody else's misses and vice versa. The 3 J's were killing it tonight at moments and Phil dropped a few nice bombs. I realize after 3 years of seeing Furthur that I have a man crush on Joe Russo. Guy is frickin amazing.

Eh . . . didn't see the thread but wouldn't be surprised. I have read these boards forever but rarely posted. It always struck me odd what happens on these boards from time to time. Its a bit of an embarrassing front for the community.

This was the first Furthur show that I've seen and let me tell you the highlight of the show was when the sunset stood still for 15 minutes straight during Jack Straw! The skyline was this incredible line of brown and gold and pink-purple that matched with a bright solitary white light that stood atop Berkeley's bell tower steeple to form a truly Godly Horizon! What a way to return to the Greek after 25 years (1988) and catch this magical Man(the light, buildings and show)/Earth confection. Only at a Dead show does God come down and party with the Band like that!

The White Light to me symbolized the return of Bob Weir to the band. So long a Champion in the Soul of the Night, the sole, solemn Light stood on solidly true. A beacon of merriment and lore, it stood proudly with this San Francisco Sunset that only those standing at the top of the Greek could see. "I know you rider (the sunset) gonna miss me me when I'm gone...on...on..." And on and on the Sunset went for literally 15 minutes without moving an iota. God came down and Stepped In and Said,"Hey, I remember this Place and I want you to Remember that psychedelics are for more than just making Music Stand Still! Hopefully someone recorded It for Bob and Phil and timed it as well! It came Fast... I booked up to the top of the Greek during China Cat and It just went BOOM.......uuooomm.......uuooomm.......uuooomm... That Was It for me. I was set no matter what they played. My night was Set. And boy did that beer taste good.
