The buzzing is sporadic and I have had it in both speakers but mainly one. It must be my connection from computer to amp to speakers or something if no one else has it. . It's not that bad but after some back surgery i can't mess with trying to figure it for a few weeks.
Hope u all are having a grate saturday

just blows me away how good Phil is...he is thumpin'!
JK rockin' a passenger solo! I think they have let him loose finally
ive said it a couple of times on this couch tour and ill say it again...I love chimenti but I am so glad he finally is no longer dominating every jam...this is a guitar driven band and jk is far more prevalent then he has been in the past and I like it better
Jerrimike - i'm on the same page as you. Rockin' is better and esspecially so with strong guitar playing in this band. Jeff C is grate but doen't need a two minute solo in every song. JK definitely needed to be turned up and be let loose. They are sounding amongst their best i have heard them, bad timing for a hiatus

Dark Star
not sure that was really box>star but going with it...ds seems to have been come a sat night favorite
For some reason I don't love jed, do love a few 70's versions more though
I also don't like slow boring long dark stars
get lost in the sound, and there you will F I N D yourself............
that's funny tom because outside of the lyrics part I have never been a huge fan of dark star either except for where it does in fact go into meltdown...and that is usually from the early days dark stars
I love ten jed...but that might have to do with june 1990 at cal expo where a very pretty young thing took my cigg from my hand waved it around making me see streamers took a drag smiled and gave it back to me lol
Sounds like they might be going 11.
I have heard a few dark stars that were rockin' and fun that i loved. Believe it or not one was ratdog in nyc

I would much rather have a 2 Djinn than a days. Not sure why they stopped playing that one.
By the time you read this it is delayed jibber jabber and most likely irrelevent information.. If it wasn't already that is

One More Saturday Night
goodnight all. im thinking tomorrow may be off the charts...enjoyed tonights show...nothing too crazy that made me go crazy with passion but still loved it and eternally grateful....and of course thanks aren't enough for taperrob
Just want to offer my infinite gratitude to Taper Rob for his beneficent streams as I listen in Boston.
Might as well thank him too for last November, when I was driving down to see Phil & Friends in NJ and got caught in major snowstorm shutting down the Taconic Parkway. Managed to back down icy hill one mile, get last room in hotel, then listen to P & F play the entire Wake of the Flood album in order, thank to Rob. Forever grateful.
Question: Is there a way to access Second Set of last night's Berkeley show 9/27/13 -- it's not showing up as an option on Rob's ustream page?
(Earlier shows are still up there.)
Oh yeah, and gratitude to Phil and Bob and JK and the boys for keeping our beloved music alive.
Did I say "boys?" Sunshine, thank you, too!

Set list compiled by Rob Scalcione
Because the Phans want to know!
Having been lucky enuf to have seen Dead shows here '86 thru '89, my expectations for this show were very high...this is the only show of the tour/run I am seeing.
1st set was rather short in length and even shorter on jamming. 'Music' was a fun opener, but Bob-star's 'Never stop, never stop!' rap @ the end made me wish the damn song WOULD STOP! After the ending jam petered out, the 1st familiar notes of Loser spilled forth, and the appreciative crowd let out a roar. Set I was full of tasty Jerry ballads: Loser, Candyman, Mission - sweet. Having seen a gazillion Mission's w/JGB, it will always be somewhat jarring hearing Bobby start the song - but this was a great one..
2nd set took a while to build up steam, IMHO. The Tennessee was a cooker, expanding from center earth outward to the Cosmos. Box had some unusual jam breaks - I thought I heard them take multiple side-trips into a very 'Dancing in the Streets'-type jam...interesting...Dark Star was awesome, John KILLED Fantasy. At the end of 'Days', there was not a dry eye in the house, you could hear a pin drop in that place. Again, I get less and less Weirded out @ Bobby doing Jerry's ballads as the years pass...Jesus, 'Days' was an emotional workout! Shakedown > NFA broke everyone out of their collective Jer-verie and ended the show all fat and funky, you just KNOW the big guy was smilin' down from the stars above...
Overall, I thought it was a great show, with JK trying out some new approaches and generally sounding GREAT.
TaperRob: Awesome!
"..and there were days I know
when all we ever wanted
was to learn and love and grow..."
The second set has been a real keeper on both nights so far at the Greek - the first sets have been pretty good but, as has been so often the case over the years, they seemed just warm ups for something 'other' to come.
That was especially true for me on Saturday as I had a nightmare encounter with Bay Area traffic running in from South SF on 101, spending an hour making just 2 miles up to the Bay Bridge turn with an hour to showtime and the traffic going nowhere. A spur of the moment bale out to Powell St BART got me there 10 minutes in to Set 1 with TMNS coning to an end. So it took me a while to refocus but I still thought Big River and Mission were strong band efforts. Candyman didn't seem up to the killer version at Lock'n tho it was still pretty good.
And then came the Set 2 gear shift. It may not go down too well with some here, but Bobby was excellent thoughout - and especially for the best Sailor > Saint that I've caught. Like Thinmanspits says, TJ was a cooker and the extended Box arrangement is always good with me (sung with especial passion by Mr Lesh). Dark Star needed more focus than I could give it (but I will be getting back to it) and then came the Fantasy > Jeff > Days section which was off the scale. And so we went on ...
So top drawer performances all round in that extraordinary outdoor living room bubble for 10,000. And finally the set list - surely a deliberate ode to the Fat Man, signalled by the wording used by Phil in Bird Song and especially the Set 2 sequence?
I'm daring to say it's rarely been better on all levels than that second set.
Thanks for your reviews. Still processing a grate night at the Greek.
