The Emily tune was Fleetwood Mac's "Gold Dust Woman." Beautiful version.
From there to the end of the set with Sugaree it was pretty much a continuous, hour-long jam. Really impressive.
The encore was Help>Slipknot>Franklin's with the Ross tune thrown in the middle of it.
Grahame's playing was superb; he has really proven to be an excellent guitarist.
A sweet highlight was when Phil announced that Grahame had proposed earlier in the day to his girlfriend, and they celebrated with her on stage with champagne and flowers before they cracked into the encore. A nice family moment which will make these London gigs always special to the Lesh family, I am sure.
I was at Govt. Mule's first playing of this Fleetwood Mac song at The Warfield in 2006,and my new girlfriend at the time was a huge Fleetwood Mac fan,and we had front row balcony over to the right, and we were stretching out our legs thru the balcony, but you can't do that anymore. Anyway sounds like a killer time with Phil, thanks for the thread!PS GREAT SONG!!!!!
What a great couple of days! I definitely agree that Grahame was on inspired form for this second night, introducing some imaginative lyrical twists and turns. Everyone was good but Grahame shined brightest.
The Ross encore song was El Paso (not Bobby's El Paso) and I'd swear there was a Smokestack tease out of the Other One in to Viola III.
And no Donor Rap - to be honest I did miss Phil reminding us of how fragile this life is!
Yes, I definitely heard the Smokestack tease too.
