Because the Phans want to know!
that was a uniquely strange, bumpy, exhilarating and trippy musical journey.
some pretty stunning jubilant moments as they'd find a powerful, old, familiar melody line amidst the swirling beautiful chaos. Both JK and Stanley shined in their own ways and moments. A bubbly crystalline sound to both guitars and more minimal-istic then many of Phils multi-guitar assaults, which lent greatly to the psychedelic sound of this band
i gotta say, he's not always consistent but sometimes JKs guitar can really stand up and grow legs. His rig was a simple single home speaker sized cabinet on a stool. it absolutely filled the room when he would cut loose. at one point either during the wheel or mountains, he was playing these incredibly trippy shimmering atmospheric sounds while Phil ripped and riffed his heart out. Gorgeous little gems
And we were given a very generous helping of Phil singing many of our most sacred tomes. He has turned a corner with age in the last 1-2 years. Its undeniable. All the more fragile and poignant.
The Music is Love instrumental work around was soaring and thrilling. What a killer riff
All the stage and Phils frame draped in rainbow colors.
Thank you for the review- from the composition of the setlist it looks like they intended a tripfest... sounds like they got the arrow pretty close to the mark...
