OUT with the ROLLING RIDER Phil Lesh
& Friends The Fall Tour that was capped with a hearty Winter welcome. As the snow pounded the East Coast, so did our faithful Quintet, closing out this long awaited reunion tour at the East Coast version of the Warfield - the Beacon Theater. And Phil and Friends did not disappoint. Tearing it up in Denver, Chicago, Boston, Connecticut, Philly, and NYC. It's like no time at all has elapsed since Red Rocks 2002. The band's chemistry still electrified. The sheer telepathic power of musical overmind still a phorce to be reckoned with. And the Rider was in high spirits right out of the gates, back with the phamily in the cozy intimate East Coast theaters where so much of the Phil and Friends magic was born and bred. This tour captured the sound that we have all grown to love and depend on, bringing in some new gems and old phavorites, including: the beautiful LAY OF THE SUNFLOWER in Chicago, the CRYPTICAL > CRAZY > ALLIGATOR in Boston, Phil's son, Grahame, sporting Phil's red telecaster and infamous red, white, and blue wristband, leading the SUGAR MAGNOLIA in Oakdale, the TERRAPIN > SUGAREE > RIDER in Philly, or the LUCY IN THE SKY > KING SOLOMONS MARBLES > DEW > UNBROKEN at the Beacon - the phans rejoiced as we are all so lucky to be THERE AND BACK AGAIN! Now, as we settle down to recover from this all too quick of a tour, the countdown again ticks on to the next time we will dance again with our beloved Angel Band... 'Where
we're going, I can't tell you Until next
